| While the story line to Mindcrime is part of what makes it great, it's the music that really makes it great. So while Geoff did write part of it, he's definitely giving himself way too much credit. I thought this was funny. I replied this to the latest Facebook post via Queensryche's page (aka Geoff's page that he stole from the other guys): - Quote :
- If Geoff is the voice of Queensryche and he has no legal rights to the name Queensyrche, then Michael, Scott and Eddie own Geoff's voice, therefore he can no longer sing. (No pun intended.)
Which was then deleted. No sense of humor. Haha.

| I have to admit that is a very good line up but I would have preferred if he called the band Geoff Tate or something else, I think the whole thing sucks. | |

| That is a good lineup except for Bobby Blotzer! He should've gone with Mark Zonder from WARLORD/FATES WARNING! Then he could have a better shot at giving Rising West a run for their money.

| Well, you knew Kelly Gray was going to pop up in there. Kelly been either in the band or a behind the scenes guy since DeGarmo left. I saw him live and he was terrible for Queensryche, IMO. He's a good player, not knocking his talent, but his style was all wrong. He was changing DeGarmo's solos and adding Led Zeppelin styled wah-wah to everything.
And Blotzer?
Whatever...I'm not going to see them live anyway... _________________ FINAL SIGN

| Yeah, it didn't seem like Gray captured the feel of the solos and was coming from a totally different headspace.

He completely was. He was/is more in tune w/ 70s and/or Grunge-like stylings than clean, precise melody they way DeGarmo is. Like I said, he's good. I even like large chunks of the Q2K record he co-wrote. But when playing the catalog, he just did't cover his base. _________________ FINAL SIGN

| Tate's playing a club in NJ called "Mexicali Live" in late October... I'm almost curious enough to venture out and witness it.
Notice I said "almost." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Halford did it first. Or was it Dickinson?

For a lot of fans, that's about 15 years too late.

| The addition of drover actually has me interested. I really liked him in Megadeth, both onstage and his showing on UA. I saw him play lead for testament live once too and he was stellar there as well. | |

Don't forget, he was with King Diamond for a couple of years as well.

| The consensus of the Blabbermouth posting dweebs seems to be "Blotzer can barely play Ratt songs, how's he gonna handle Queensryche songs?" _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I was thinking the same thing. Rockenfeld is very underrated, I think, and much more creative. Will Blotzer dumb it down?

Makes one wonder just what "older" QR tunes Tate and company are gonna be actually playing ? that is a very good question. So will Tate have to pay the real queensryche for merch and ticket sales? _________________

| I couldn't resist anymore... I simply had to write a HubPage about the Queensryche drama. I titled it "Meet the New Queensryche -- Both of them!"
