You knew what you were getting into old man. I would never agree to do what you do. I'm lazy and A/C spoiled so I can whine if I want to.

Seriously, you get my utmost respect for your work but there is no money (except maybe a six figure one-which would NEVER happen) someone can pay me to do that. We have a guy who worked over 40 years in construction and he never sweats and hardly drinks much water so he has no problem. I however, have spend most of my working life in air conditioned retail establishments (no more that 40-48 hours/week) so my body doesn't respond well to heat . I am stubborn though and a hard worker so I will overcome... but it sure is hell won't be easy.

Nope, I'm the guy who shows up with 26 tons of asphalt at a time in a belly dump When we are doing the road base. I often operate a front loader, grader, and dozer. So basicily, I made it sound worse than it is.

I'm a warehouse manager in FL with that long rock 'n roll hair. You'll eventually deal.... and the show of might shall be glorious.

We're just happy to work, period. This past weekend I worked 10 hours on Friday, 12 hours on Saturday and 11 hours Sunday.

...but at least I was sitting down behind a mixing console and lighting board in an air-conditioned ballroom at a luxury hotel.

Well, it's not like we get regular pay for doing it. Anything over 40 hours a week gets 1.5 times an hour (in my case $15/hour). Many places that only pays $8-10/hour don't allow anything over 40 hours (they stricktly enforce that). If you want to make some real money in a low paying job, you have no choice but to work more than 8 hours/day and the occasional Saturday. As for A/C, most warehouses aren't climate controlled (and this one has only been running for a year). They have plans on making ours climate controled but apparently there's been some kind of hold up.
