Those are a few favorites that come to mind at the moment.

Katon is a good pick.

Robert Gutierrez of Ultimatum.
At one time, I was the only non-Spanish guy in Ultimatum when it was Robert Gutierrez, Sean Griego and Steve Trujillo.

The first guy that came to mind, however, was Doug (Dug) Pinnick of King's X.

Greg Fulton

I'm not mentioning all the Indians / South American people / guys from Philliphines etc. - there are too many of them in the Californian thrash bands!

Doug! duh. Sometimes the obvious are so obvious you forget about them.

I always thought Living Colour were talented, not to mention brave!
Whether they are metal or not is debatable? Some of there stuff was pretty hard I
thought. Maybe more pop metal.

God Forbid, kinda nu metal but half the band including the singer are black. Saw them play live here in a small club once , put on a good show.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Wicked Wisdom!!

Saw them right here in Abilene and they put on a great show. Her live vocals need some work, but her "'stage presence" was pretty strong and it was entertaining.....not to mention she's smokingly fine!

Chuck Berry...he was hard rocking for his time in the extreme....had he been born 20-30 years later he'd have been very metal...judging at least by some of his weird non-music behaviour....

yea he's cuban and HELL YES chuck berry would be metal!!

One of the most extreme metal band from Brazil, MYSTIFIER(two black members) or SOUND BARRIER, STONE VENGEANCE, BLACK DEATH...all black members and pure US METAL from the 80s.
I love most of the japanish heavy metal bands of course too and i also have a lot of respect for KATON.

Akira Takasaki (that jap could play) definitely! As far as hard rock goes Phil Lynott...man...he wrote some great songs.

Sal Zepeda who was the Ex. Fueled By Fire guitarist and now is the singer/guitarist for Execution. He is one of my new favorite vocalists.
