Despite what you may think of Jack or his dad and mom, MS is a horrible disease that I wouldn't wish on too many people. There are a couple that come to mind, but Jack isn't one of them.

Yeah that's a shame. Definitely a terrible disease.

I watched one girl suffer and pass and another one that is currently receiveing treatments to delay the inevitable. The slow, downward spiral is a bitter pill.

A very bad disease, i have a friend of mine who has it, she has it since she was a child and it always affected her in a big way, we went to school together and because of this disease she wasn't even able to make our granduation trip.
But it's also not a death sentence, adapt to it, enjoy your life anyway, my friend has it done, made something out of her life, went to several great vacations that made even me jealous, so there's a big light at the end of this tunnel

I heard about this. Poor guy.

The first time I actually feel for the guy. For the short time I actually watched the Osbournes, he always came out as a spoiled brat.

But, just as he seemed to have got his life together, these terrible news came. I wish him strength, but I'm also sure he will make the most of his life.

Are MS symptoms similar to what Jason Becker has?

No, that is ALS, totally different. ALS is basically a death sentence, and if you do live, one generally can't move any part of their body or speak within a couple of years. It's easily the scariest disease out there!

I agree too. It is terrible that he has it.

My heart certainly goes out to him.

My friend's daughter that has it takes daily injections that are supposed to slow down the effects of the disease, but to my knowledge, there is no cure. It could be months or even years before she starts showing direct effects of MS.

The girl I used to work with though was diagnosed and within a year, she was crippled and twisted up.

A gentleman in my church had ALS and passed away just over a year ago. I was asked by him to sing at his funeral. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. This is a scary disease, mostly because it doesn't affect your mind, only your body. You know exactly what is happening to you.

MS isn't curable, but it is manageable through medication if diagnosed early enough. It slows down the symptoms.

Wishing him the best. Things likes this reminds me how something could happen to you or someone you know and love and not to take things for granted.
