I just ordered the deluxe edition, didn't know anything about it 'till I recently picked up Iommi's book...

Sounding very much like Van Halen here...

You hit the nail right on the head. That's the first time I've heard that song. I like it.

To each their own. It's different, that's for sure. A perfect b-side type song.

I don't much care for VH, and certainly not for Sabbath sounding like them!

Which is why it was doomed to being a Japanese-only bonus track and was never released in the States.

Not sure if that was the reason, "Loser Get's It All" was also a Japanese only bonus track, and it's bloody well good!

Another good one that didn't make the cut...

Yes, I know a few of their other Japanese-only bonus tracks were better.

I think this was a very good album, if not great. One of their worst sellers, but I think that's because the fans just got fed up w/all the line-up changes, you really needed a scorecard to keep up! By the time the record came out you had Iommi on the mound w/Who, What and Why on first, second and third?!

I totally ignored all the releases after Born Again, figuring why bother and they should have just hung it up. It wasn't til years later that I started collecting them on a whim and was very impressed with them. Foolish of me, but better late than never.

I chose Martin but I still like the Gillen version.
Also I think that TYR is the greatest of the Martin albums.

Just goes to show you how subjective art appreciation/evaluation can be!

I chose Martin.
I know it's all opinions but I never understood the love ray gillen gets and I certainly think he was a terrible fit for sabbath. When I listen to gillen (badlands and sabbath) all I hear is A.N.Other generic 80's rock singer. Nothing special about his voice at all. Martin has an incredible voice and sounds amazing on the eternal idol. I like that he has a touch of gravel in his voice.

They're were only two singers that really fit Sabbath, the rest were fill ins...
