In your Sepultura "Kairos" review you say "The debate regarding he Max-era verses the Derrick-era of Sepultura will rage on forever,..."
It should read "The debate regarding the Max-era verses the Derrick-era of Sepultura will rage on forever"

And it should be versus, not verses... Also, English isn't my native language, so I might be wrong here, but I don't think there should be a comma after "Max-era".

Under this link, there is a typo:
http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/msg.html#neverdie
"Rock Will Never Stop" should say "Rock Will Never Die" There is two one references to "Rock Will Never Stop" in the review under the track listings.

Ult, have you got CDs from any other "big" acts (or acts with a somewhat larger discography or greater influence/importance) that aren't present at all on the site now, except Pat Benatar and Sammy Hagar?

Yes, I have all the Lacuna Coil, Rob Zombie, Bon Jovi and Saliva CDs. I can't get into any of them. Also have Static X. Don't like it though I probably need to give them another spin. Have more, but those are some that I remember without actually looking.

Eh, must say I kinda expected that it's mostly stuff you don't really like....What Bon Jovi CDs have you got? Anyway, have you considered getting some Clapton? Some of his '80s stuff wasn't that different from Phil Collins (they did collaborate often, after all), but I assume his earlier stuff would be more to your liking, especially the stuff he did with Cream.

Don't know. I don't have any of those releases.

I know you dont like Bon Jovi ult, but have you ever heard Richie Sambora's solo album "Stranger in this town"? It does have some pop-metal influenced songs, but for the most part its bluesy rock that sounds nothing like bon jovi.

My disliking Bon Jovi has a lot to do with growing up a metalhead in NJ the 80's. His music was everywhere back then and people were calling the 'the greatest heavy metal band ever'. I detested his poser image/music. I can't seem to get past that bad attitude I had about Bon Jovi from back then.

Why Bon Jovi got labeled metal (and still gets labeled a metal band) is beyond me. Some bands that got labeled metal that weren't may have had metal influences or a handful of individual songs, so with those bands, it's understandable. But Bon Jovi didn't have a single metal song in their entire catalog, so I can't understand why they'd get the label.

At least you got out of New Jersey!! I'm still here and to this day it seems like it's required by law for rock fans in this state to kiss Bon Jovi's and Bruce Springsteen's a$$es.
Bon Jovi is, was, and always shall be ... THE ENEMY!!!

Although BJ were certainly never a metal band, their first two albums were actually pretty hard rocking AOR. File with early Night Ranger and Frontiers era Journey...Even a bit heavier and at times less keyboardy!
This song isn't metal, but I can see how someone could have mislabeled something like this as metal. Too bad they didn't keep that sound, could have been one of the best '80s hard rock/AOR bands. I still don't mind their stuff pre-Crush.

Well, that's some really bad attitude then, seeing you even dig the likes of PBF, Tuff and Trixter (I don't mind any of them, they had some good songs, especially Trixter, but IMHO it's far inferior to the first two BJ albums...after that, they got too overproduced IMO, although I still dig some of that stuff). I'd still take those bands over any of their new crap any day. Anyway, have you ever thought of giving some grunge a chance? AiC and Soundgarden are both pretty much hard rock/metal...Soundgarden sounds pretty stoner-ish at times, and I know you dig stoner metal. Especially considering you do like some of the hair metal attempts at a more grungy sound, why not check the original grunge bands who were far better?
Or is it just like Bon Jovi, but instead of thinking hating them for being posers, you won't listen to them because in your eyes, those bands "killed" metal & rock in the early '90s?

Which is funny because that is exactly the sentiment I've always held to. It must be a New Jersey thing. Been living in NM since 1989. I still say "dawg" instead of "dog", I still say "tret'n" instead of "Trenton" and I still don't like Bon Jovi.

I don't know that I like much of the hair band's attempts at grunge. Most of them are pretty bland IMO. Some of them are ok. I don't think I've ever wholeheartedly endorsed any grunge attempt. Even Kiss, where I am pretty much a fanatic, their attempt at Alice in Chains (Carnival of Souls) is good, but far from great.
Can't stand Pearl Jam and Nirvana. I can stand some Soundgarden, though I don't own any. I use to own "Louder than Love" on vinyl back in the day and liked it.
Something about Alice in Chains rubs me the wrong way. Just a personal thing, I think it's mostly the vocals. The songs start off ok then the vocals kick in and it annoys me. However, a song like "Check My Brain" is just terrible and I can't get into it at all. The riff is boring and sounds like a warped cassette tape. There is only two riffs used in the whole song and they are not that different from each other. I don't know. I guess you can't like everything and this band doesn't seem to do it for me. One of these days I'll have to give one of their albums a listen rather than basing my opinion on radio hits, which I admit is all I know.

If you do, then stick with Facelift or Dirt, anything after that is mostly crap IMO. As for Bon Jovi, if you listen to Dry County off of Keep The Faith and it does nothing for you, then your a lost case as that is one of the best songs ever written IMO.

Dry County is actually a pretty boring and mediocre song that's saved by Sambora's great solos.
