Recently got True Defiance by Demon Hunter as a gift for my birthday last week. It was from my girlfriend's parents, who are ultra Christian and also got me a CS Lewis anthology on Apologetics for Easter. She and her parents are aware that I am atheist but I feel like this is a subtle attempt to convert me or something.

Anyway, they don't know that I despise metalcore in general save for a few acts like Killswitch Engage. Either way, Demon Hunter is a terrible band and this album is beyond awful.

I'm not an ungrateful bastard though, and I'm glad loud guitars came to mind as they were gift shopping for me. I wholly appreciate the kind gesture!

I have a friend who gets pissed if anyone says "Indian giver," says it's the most racist term in existence. I'd never even thought about it until I met him. Hard to argue with it, though. Might not be the most racist term out there, but it's up there, sure. Top 3, probably.

For the longest time I was content with Rush's best of. However, when I started to find their albums cheap I began aquiring them.

"2112" is one of my "desert island albums". Even with the awful song "Tears" on it (the "Beth" of 2112).
