Yea, I'm still not 100% sold on these guys. Not sure why though. On paper, they should be a slam dunk. Anyway, I had their other 2, so when I saw these 2 in the used bins, I figured why not complete the set? The price was right.

The McQueen Street was grabbed so I had 3 used discs to get the discount. Played it this morning on the way into work. Eh. 4th tier hair metal at best. Looks like it might be worth something on ebay though.

Freddy, that Crue album was their attempt to sound all mature and grungy and shake off their "80's glam image". Surprisingly it holds up rather well, much better than some of their contemporaries grunge efforts of the same time period.

Yep, so I've heard. I haven't bought a Crue album since Theatre of Pain so honestly I have no expectations for it, good or bad. I've read some reviews claiming it's the best thing they ever did, and others saying it was an abomination that should not have been released upon the earth. So we'll see which side I agree with shortly.

I guess it's because I approach a new album (i.e., one I've never heard of before) without regard to any history of the artist. So I'm just reacting to the artwork of a band with which I'm not familiar. I'm also willing to admit that if a band I know well put out a similar cover, I might have a completely different reaction.

Just goes to show you how much album art influences people...
