What is your favorite Dark Angel album? Also which is your favorite Dark Angel singer?

Time Does Not Heal is probably my favorite Dark Angel album, although they didn't release on I didn't like.

Time Does Not Heal is the only Dark Angel I have, so I don't have anything else to base an opinion. I like it and I want more Dark Angel, but....$$$ and finding their old stuff is a chore.

I have all Dark Angel records (CD'S) and Time Does Not Heal is by far my favorite!! Terry Date production was the greatest back in the day!!! You can't beat 8 songs and over an hour of music with all those riffs (I wish I had written LOL)!

Don did an excellent job on Darkness Descends. However, I think the performance from Ron on Time Does Not Heal is masterful! Emotive, powerful, aggressive...he knocked it out of the park!

I'm a bit biased though, as Time is one of my all-time favorite thrash albums.

I would say Darkness Descends is their best album, but Ron Rinehart is the better vocalist.

Did Don Doty do anything after Dark Angel?

Not that I know of. I think he had a drug or alcohol problem...

Time Does Not Heal or Darkness Descends, both are some of my favorite metal albums. Ron is in my opinion better singer, although Don is good too

My favorite DA album is "Time Does Not Heal".

I think Ron is a great vocalist whose style fits DA's music well.

He's a born again Christian now BTW. I am pretty sure he didn't record anything else based on interviews I have read with DA.

Funny how both Dark Angel frontmen became born again Christians, although I believe Don didn't become one until many, many years after leaving the band.

I remember hearing he is on good terms with one or two of his former Dark Angel bandmates. What is he doing these days?

I had heard that at one point when things didn't work out with the Ron / DA reunion, they had approached Don to come back. I'm guessing that it didn't work out there either, since nothing has been said about a DA comeback for some time now.

I've heard some rumours about Dark Angel reunion with Ron, but that it probably won't happen 'cause he has some kind of disease?

Ron is a very good friend of mine. There WAS a Dark Angel reunion happening a couple years ago. They got together, did a couple shows in LA, recorded "Creeping Death" for a Metallica tribute and that was it. Plans were underway for a tour, but everything fell apart. Ron now lives in Washington, has a great job, a new house, etc. so I don't see a reunion happening anytime soon, at least not with him in the band.

Darkness Descends...Don is a cop now...

What happened was Eric Meyer the second guitar player who never wrote a thing in DA fired the founding member Jim Durkin if you can believe that. Then Ron said he wouldn't continue unless Jim stayed and it all fell apart. Ron had surgery for some thyroid problem but i heard he can still sing but not to his expectations and that was another factor in the failed reunion.

I thought Jim Drabos was the one who became a cop. He never recorded with the band, but toured with them when Don couldn't go. Rob Yahn was also a cop at one time I think.
