Agreed. But I have his Elton 60 live at MSG DVD from 2007 and when he quits all the Lion King/movie soundtrack crap, the guy still freakin' rocks on the old stuff.

His albums 'Peachtree Road' and 'The Captain and the Kid' are both excellent IMO and I think you might like them, a nice return to form.

Yeah, I read reviews that stated that so I gave Peachtree Road a shot. Nope, didn't cut it for me so I never gave the other one a shot.

The Captain and the Kid is suppose to act as a sequel of sorts to 'Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy' not sure if I totally get the connection but I loved it, and I thought 'Peacetree was the best album he had done in ages up to that point

Thank you toho, it did not grab me at first and it took a few spins, of course maybe I was just so happy it was not more Lion King and Disney type songs that he could have released an album of nursery rhymes I would have been overjoyed!
