Two of the seminal "heavy metal" albums when I was a youngster. Fly By Night especially set the stage for a lot of my future album purchases decades later. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I think I like the early Rush period the best so far (as I guess most Rush fans do). _________________ | |

There are a contingent of fans that like the earliest albums (Rush, Fly By Night, Caress of Steel) the best. The most popular eras are the "prog albums" (2112, Farewell, Hemispheres)...and the early 80s albums (Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Grace Under Pressure). Each era has their vociferous fans. Then there are alot of Rush fans (like myself) that like all the eras, even if it's in varying degrees. |

so far the only one i havent liked is Vapor Trails - mainly because it just sounded strange. The music and vocals just seemed out of synch. _________________ | |

Ah, Supertramp. The classic example of a band I hated while they were in their hayday but I grew to really love as I got older and my music horizons expanded. Good album! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Even In The Quietest Moments was one of the first albums I purchased in my pre-teen years, that album and Breakfast In America I've owned continuously ever since. and now the peer pressure has me craving some breakfast... |
