Exact33....I just unwrapped Ride The Sky so I'll give you my thoughts later....

DRIVE- "Characters In Time"

Ride The Sky thoughts....

After two spins I like it which is a good sign cause I usually need 2-3 spins just to get a feel.

Masterplan/Jorn Lande comparisons are spot on. I have to remind myself that it's not Jorn!

This falls right in the Masterplan, Allen/Lande, Evergrey territory that I love so much so for me this is a keeper.

Only occassionally do they scare me with sort of prog-ish moments, but they are on the good side of the fence with that for me.

The skill is evident, the vocals great (if cloned) and the melodies and choruses just how I like them.

I really dig that Ride The Sky album. It's not an original style, but I just don't understand all the negative comments on it. It's a solid album.

I like these guys, but I can't believe they have any honor. White Zombie/Rob Zombie remained 100% original for nearly 20 years, until ol' Riggs joined Rob's touring band.
