There's nothing alt-rock about it, sounds like a lost album from 1974. It's fairly mellow, but reminds me of stuff like Crimson's Lizard and maybe a little bit of Caravan and Camel thrown into the mix. Good album, lots of mellotron.

That's a really nice concert video! Nice to hear the Heritage material in a live setting, plus the acoustic set with "The Throat Of Winter" is great.

Is it just me, or does the Heritage material sound more "metal" live? That added amount of distortion really does change the sound a bit.

The whole band is very tight live, especially Axe.

Heritage was recorded using only vintage guitars (no active pickups), vintage amps and analog effects pedals.

Live they are using their standard gear, so it changes the sound due to the instrumentation/amplification used.
