| While I like Slashes playing I'm not into his commercial side. And if I hear You're A Lie anymore than 9 times a day it won't be to soon.

| This album is boring.
I've played it through numerous times and not one song is memorable. Slash can lay down a sweet solo, but catchy hooks or memorable riffs are severly lacking. This makes me sad. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Glad it isn't only me. His last one had some memorable stuff, songs that stuck with you. This one I can't remember it as soon as it's done. | |

| Are you serious? I absolutely love this record. There are awesome riffs on it. And songs like No More Heroes, Anastasia and Shots Fired are quite memorable to me. | |

| I've had the album for almost a week now and after multiple spins, the only song that slightly stood out from the pack was the acoustic intro to 'Anastasia'. And when that fades out, so does the rest of the song.
Believe me, I want to like this album. I'm a huge fan. I liked his last one and the live album. But as it stands now, Apocalyptic Love is boring. Maybe my expectations were set too high. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Funny enough, for I didn't like the last one that much. Why? I think it was because of its inconsistency, also in songwriting. Too much ballads on this one, for me. Apocalyptiv Love on the other hand feels like some "modern" Appetite for Destruction to me - and that's why I like it.

| Why is Slash even here? His music belongs to the Pop/Commercial Rock forum or something | |

| ...and so do Iron Maiden, AC/DC & co.? There are bands that are bestsellers that can be considered metal/hardrock rather than "pop". And plus, you haven't heard any of the new songs. Otherwise you would not call it "pop"...
Oh, and it certainly depends on the definition of pop. But my point is, that music that is popular is not bad/uncool/whatever.

| Would you recommend me to go to his concert? i'm still hesitating.
I lost interest in the whole GNR scene after appetite for destruction.

I lost interest in the whole GNR scene after appetite for destruction. Absoulutely!! Go see any live music whenever and where ever you can. Seeing someone live can change your whole perception of a band. The music can take on a whole different meaning when you see it performed in a live setting. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | @Gilbert: I have seen many concerts so far, including acts like Maiden, AC/DC, Priest, but I never experienced such a great audience as I did at the Slash gig last year. It was just incredible. Probably the best concert I've ever been to. And I can't wait for him to come back to Switzerland as a headliner!

It's kind of a Cinderella story, I had no idea this was going to be a band I was going to do things with – I thought it was a pickup band. It turned out to be really, from the get-go, this kickass band, and now it's more like a group."
Can't wait for the next album

| Got to say this new album is boring with a capital B. Nothing whatsoever stands out to me and is simply a collection ok songs. Very disappointed as I loved his last album and saw him live at the high voltage festival in the UK last year and thought miles Kennedy did a great job. When I heard miles was on board for the next album I really got my hopes up. Even bought the classic rock fan pack which is overpriced for what you get.
I've enjoyed most of slash's output over the years but this album will be filed in the 'not in a rush to listen.to it ever again' file.

| Same here. I really, really tried to like this album, but it's just boring. Ok while it's on, but lacking anything memorable. While a song or 2 might have creeped into my brain from repeated spins, I'm afraid this album will go down on the "Disappointments of 2012" list.
I'll come back to it for a fresh spin before the end of the year, but it's getting shelved for now. I've put entirely too much effort into trying to like this album. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
