I haven't looked the past pages, but I discovered today Chris Jericho's internet show, and it has interviews with wrestlers, people / topics that interest him - William Shatner, UFO's, etc but also heavy metal stars -TALK IS JERICHO http://www.podcastone.com http://www.podcastone.com/program?action=viewProgram&programID=593

Jim Ross and Steve Austin also have good podcasts.

I listen to the following wrestling podcasts:
Steve Austin - the most popular wrestling podcast - Steve gets the best guests but he will NEVER say anything controversial - it's still very worthwhile
Jim Ross - JR is worth listening to and he always gives a good review of the current product
Chris Jericho - Jericho's is sometimes good and sometimes crap - he pulls in a different roster of guests than the others but you have to put up with talk about a LOT of crap music - including Fozzy
Wrestling Observer Figure Four Online - Excellent podcast version of a couple of dirtsheets
MLW Radio - Konnan and some former WWE bookers discuss wrestling - it's very interesting and probably my favorite. It's not for everyone though, but Konnan is surprisingly interesting and intelligent - he's quite the booker and has a good mind for the business
The Art of Wrestling - this is independent wrestler Colt Cabana's podcast - it's the oldest wrestling podcast and there are over 200 episodes to listen to. He has had tons of great guests and you get a completely different perspective of the business
I would suggest you start with Austin's podcasts (he has two different shows) and go from there.

I never would have figured Konnan would have a "mind for the business" or be "interesting and intelligent". His character was always so bland and boring IMO. I guess that's why you prefaced that statement with "surprisingly".

He was responsible for all the Luchadores being in WCW. He was the one that clued Bischoff in to that whole style and that there was money to be made in it. In Mexico he's a legend - I believe he's knows and "The Mexican Hulk Hogan." Of course, he's a Cuban-American from Florida, but since when has wrestling made sense?

Yeah, now that you mention that, I do remember reading Konnan was responsible for the luchadores being in WCW.
I wish he would clue in TNA. That fed made its reputation on the high-flying X division but then they started letting guys like Samoa Joe and Magnus compete in it and it made a joke out of the division.

Speaking of Austin's podcast, check out this interview with Jim Cornette as they discuss Ray Traylor (Big Bubba Rogers/Big Boss Man). Very interesting and funny (warning strong language-NSFW):

He was terrible. Good riddance. Although, this doesn't help their roster problems. At least he was a skilled worker - he just lacked any kind of charisma and was terrible on the mike.

Yeah, del Rio was so boring. Even when he used to come out in the fancy, expensive cars, I was more interested in the cars than in him. Creative sure tried to get him over though. They gave him the cars, they gave him his own ring announcer, they gave him a run as a face...yet through it all he was one big yawn.

Yet, none of that got him cut. His temper is what got him fired.

Sadly, another passing in wrestling. This time from former WCW/WWE star Sean O'Haire. Former WCW star Scotty Riggs wrote on his Twitter this evening that former WWE and WCW star Sean O'Haire has passed away. Riggs wrote:
"Just got a message that former wrestler Sean O' Haire has passed away. #RIPSeanOHaire"
An obituary for O'Haire can be found at this link. He died at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Monday. He was 43.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, September 13th at his home at 510 Hampton Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Read more at http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/Former_WWE_and_WCW_Star_Sean_O_Haire_Passes_Away.html#t6yAEGuWtCD63a14.99

Sadly, this will probably have to do something with drugs or suicide. Sadly, very few wrestlers die this young naturally.
R.I.P. Sean was one of the guys in the spring / summer 2001 to appear as part of Shane McMahon's WCW invading WWF and did a great flip off the top rope wiping somebody out
The WWE dropped the ball with his career when they bought his contract from WCW. He had a great look, could move in the ring and some mike skills. They could have developed him into a good hand. Of course, their talent pool was overflowing at that point, so he kind of got lost in the shuffle.
I thought they were really on to something with Damien Sandow doing a "The Genius" redux a while back. He'd come out and pick some rube from the crowd and ask him 3 questions. The first 2 would be real easy and the third one would be something practically no one would know. And of course after asking the final question he would gloat about how well-schooled he was and insult the crowd to a loud chorus of boos.
Now look at what they're doing with him. Sheesh...

One of the biggest wastes of talent right there. When he lost to Cena with his Money In The Bank (after giving Cena a severe beating before the match even), those of us with a brain knew that was the end of his push. All the Cena lovers (the same people that insist WWE is still doing a good job) were telling us how stupid we were. That there was no way that was burying Sandow and his career would now really take off. Yeah, he took off like the Hindenburg.
