The same could be said for Jake the Snake. Didn't have an ounce of athleticism, nor was he an exceptional technical wrestler, but his psychology was off the charts, and THAT was what got him over.

| I have to say Jake is the one guy from that era that I'm not as big a fan of as I was then. He does a lot with little but it just seems so repetitive in every match. The interviews are still gold though.
I've been very happy with the Network. Wish they would add more old school things but it isn't like there isn't plenty to watch. Still have to get to the Clashes at some point. The real selling point for me in continuing to subscribe has been NXT. I haven't had a weekly show that I made a point of watching every week in over 15 years. NXT has me hooked. Their last special Takeover was about as good a wrestling show as I've ever seen. That womans title match reminded me why I became a fan of pro wrestling in the first place. I was going nuts during that.
I always liked Mike Rotundo as a technical wrestler, loved the Varsity Club, but did I ever think he was dull as dirt in the personality department. How his kids ended up that charismatic is amazing. And both in different ways too. Must've gotten it from their grandpa. Big fan of both. Bo Dallas is so awesome in NXT (this week's episode where he gets arrested by Full Sail Security is must see).
The funny thing about the no blood is the last PPV had stuff that I felt was far worse. Roman Reigns being systematically beaten with the kendo sticks. That was torture. Cena throwing the steps at Bray. But no way someone can have a bloody forehead? While real welts, bruises, and cut up arms are alright. If I were an advertiser I'd be more shocked by that stuff than a crimson mask.

| Bo Dallas has been on Raw too. I like his schtick. "Bo-lieve" I liked how last Monday after he beat his opponent, he ran around the ring gloating then jumped back in the ring, patted the guy on the back and said something like, "Don't worry, you too can be great one day if you just bo-lieve". He cracks me up. And I agree about Rotundo; he was so boring. Even his IRS gimmick was dull. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I couldn't take the IRS thing. Way too hokey.
I might be inclined to slog through a Raw for some Bo Dallas antics. You really need to see the NXT stuff if you haven't. The interactions with the crowd and the way they respond to him is awesome. If they could somehow translate that to the larger stage they will really have something with him. They really should show the NXT stuff on Raw or Smackdown. If I were the WWE I'd just make NXT the first hour of Raw.

| That's actually a really good idea.
The way the Raw roster is now, 3 hours is just way too long. There's tons of padding like replaying a beatdown angle over and over and over, stupid backstage stuff, etc.
Is Bo Dallas a face or a heel in NXT? On Raw he's a heel. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| He's a heel. It's the delusional heel who thinks the people are all with him. Over the time I've been watching Bo started to figure out they weren't. He tried to do his own occupy NXT. And then when he lost a loser leaves NXT he did a great bit telling the people they "stink". Informing us he usually doesn't use that strong of language. Now he's tried to come back as Mr. NXT under a mask which resulted in him being removed by security. It's really great stuff. | |

| So Cena wins the title again. Hoping this sets it up for Brock to win at Summerslam. Sure he's a part timer. Would still like to see it happen. | |

| I couldn't believe they gave Cena the title AGAIN!. Does "creative" not hear all the boos he gets? The only people who back him as a face are little kids (which given their insistence on "PG" material I guess makes sense).
I would actually back Cena if they turned him heel. I think he'd be great in that role, so hateable. I could write a million promos for him in that role. But it will never happen as long as "creative" is worshipping at the altar of the pre-teen demographic. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Is Cena this generation's "Hulk Hogan" ? except this time, he has nowhere else to go (ie. WCW).
He doesn't seem the type that would like to go to, or put up with, working in Japan, unlike the truly great wrestlers.

| Maybe it's because I'm a recovering lapsed fan but John Cena doesn't bother me in the least as champ or even top guy. He puts great effort into his matches when he could easily coast by. The last two PPVs I've seen him do stuff that was beyond risky for someone in his position. The guy delivers IMO. Sure his persona and presentation is well out of my demographic. But can't blame them for going where the money is. I also think it's cool that they have a guy that inspires such divergent reactions. | |

| I have no problems with Cena and would enjoy a heel turn. I also had no problems in the 80's and 90's with Hogan and I also enjoyed his heel turn. I think the fan base is just tired of Cena. Glad to see Jericho back but he only shows up for a few months then disappears. | |

| That's it exactly. I'm just tired of Cena. I think since he's getting boos from the adult males now anyway they should just turn him full-blown heel. Can you imagine how all the little kids who look up to him would boo him after a turn? He'd get a lot of heel heat I think. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| It seems they retired The Big Gold Belt on Raw last night and presented it to Flair. I hate to see it go but if it was given to anyone I can't think of anyone better than Flair. I remember back in the day Flair showing up in WWF with that belt hailed as "the REAL Worlds Champion" when he had a dispute with the NWA. That was awesome. NWA threatened lawsuit so they gave him a tag team belt and blurred it out. I'm gonna miss The World Heavyweight Championship. | |

| Cena is awful. They compltely botched that character from the get go. He's now such a plain vanilla doofus and he's lame on the mike. Ugh. WWE loves him because he will come back from injury early and do whatever creative wants. He's the ultimate company man. It's too bad really, but he could have been a really good heel. I doubt he'll ever turn heel now because the company has too much riding on him and they have such a paper-thin roster. | |

| My favorite thing on Raw these days is Lana and her "Vladam-i-i-r-r-r-r... P-u-u-u-u-tin!" schtick. She cracks me up and she's easy on the eyes as well. I did think it was funny last night when they showed Obama on the Titantron he received almost as many boos as when they showed Putin up there.
I've grown bored with the Wyatts. Their feud with the Usos is so ho-hum. I still like Bray but they need to put him in a meaningful program with someone. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Have you ever watched NXT? It's kind of refreshing in that the matches are very straightforward and the announcers actually focus on calling the match rather than pushing Tout, WWE Network, Twitter, blah, blah, blah.
