Awesome album! The album doesn't seem to get a lot of love. So I'll give the album a thread where it can get the appreciation it deserves.
The title track is one of the most awesome songs ever recorded.

I always see this one combined with The Law used at a local record store but I've never gone for it. Probably would like to eventually

Great album! I love the album cover too
For some reason the second album never caught me like this one did.

Love it!! I was lucky enough to see them play live many times back in the day. I can confirm that Mr Anselmo was present quite a few times, as was Dime at least once. Those shows would get crazy in a hurry, some of the most violent pits I've ever seen.

I know very little about this album and the band. I'd love to check them out sooner or later.

I'm more partial to their follow-up The Law, because I've had that one longer, but this one is pretty good too.
Total Pantera rip-offs though.

lol, the more things change the more they stay the same. The Metallica thread is nice and active, so might as well get an Exhorder/Pantera thread going.
Seriously though, I love Slaughter In the Vatican!

I just like to poke that hornet's nest whenever the name Exhorder comes up. It's fun to see folks get their panties in a twist over it.

it could be good. Floodgate had that C.O.C./Down thing going. Kyle pulled it off fairly well.

I had the Floodgate album. Kyle can definitely sing in the doom/stoner style.

I also prefer The Law album, but I like the energy a lot on this one. I think Dark Angel may have inspired them.

I'm with those who like The Law better. In fact I like the that record A LOT better than Slaughter. While Slaughter is a good record I tend to think it is a bit over-rated.
