| I recall seeing Bruce Dickinson's Chemical Wedding at WalMart once, but i didn't have any money with me. The next time I went in there, it was gone. | |

Or in the middle of Ohio! Our local Wally World had the Surtur Rising CD/DVD combo for $10 and I passed on it. I now realize that was probably a stupid move and I need to check and see if its still there! I also saw Dream Theater's Octavarium at a Walmart when it first came out. I already had it at the time, so I didn't buy it. I did purchase Alice Cooper's Along Came a Spider at Walmart.

| At one Wal-Mart a few years ago I saw Iced Earth-The Crucible of Man-Something Wicked Part 2.
In the early 90s, I got my first Maiden album Fear Of The Dark from Wal-Mart and when I was in High School (around '96) I shoplifted Mortification-s/t from Wally World.

- Speaking of selection, over the last year it seems like Best Buy is really starting to phase out their CD's. We have three Best Buy's in town. The two newer ones are smaller and have always had a crappy selection. The older one had a great big selection which they've moved around twenty times and condensed the space. Not even worth going to browse any more.
I've noticed that in my area as well. There are 3 in my general vacinity, but I don't bother going there to browse anymore. If I'm going to Best Buy, it's for a specific purchase, like the latest Anthrax or Alice Cooper. Go in, grab it and get out. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. How about Target? I picked up the new Anthrax at the Target store near my office today. I rarely, if ever, shop there so I tend to forget about them as a possible place to find CDs, but a buddy of mine mentioned he'd picked up the Thrax there for 9.99 so I sez "Hmm, maybe I should check it out." I'm gonna have to keep that store in mind for when the new Megadeth comes out next week... _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I was in Walmart over the weekend and saw a brand new sealed copy of The Decline Of Western Civilization: The Metal Years for $7. I thought that album was long out of print. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. They start used on Amazon for $1.94... I thought the same thing till I got home and checked on Amazon. Was the movie ever officially released on dvd? I used to have a vhs dub somewhere in my archives. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | The movie has never been officially released on DVD... too many hassles w/music licensing or something to that effect. Therefore VHS tapes go for pretty good $$ on eBay nowadays.
I got a brand-new-in-the-shrink-wrap VHS copy of "Decline II" for 2.98 at a record store about fifteen years ago. Best bargain bin scrounge EVER! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| That's what I thought. Legal red-tape gumming up the works. My old roommate had an original vhs that I made my dub from.
I watched it not that long ago when I was surfing around on cable. It's aged pretty badly, but still nostalgic fun to watch. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Was it the gnarly cover version? When I was in highschool (94/95ish) I bought the S/T Morty album with the gnarly cover, Primitive Rhythm Machine, and Bloodworld on cassette all for $5 each. Once tho, I did see the unedited version of Black Crowes - Amorica. Probably a shipping error from the factory as Wally's usually only carries edited albums. I found that out the hard way when I bought Astro-Creep 2000.

I watched it not that long ago when I was surfing around on cable. It's aged pretty badly, but still nostalgic fun to watch. Yeah, it turned up on Independent Film Channel a while ago so I recorded it onto a DVD from that. It's a cavalcade of unintentional comedy, it makes me cringe in spots, but it's still a great flick. It's funny how a lot of so called "metal heads" hate that movie, i.e. "They were making fun of our music!" ...yeah, well y'know what? There was a lot of stuff in the L.A. scene at that time that was totally deserving of such ridicule! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
