Nah. Too cheesy for me. If I'd heard them back in the day when I was listening to lotsa glam and hair bands, I might have dug them more.

About a year or so ago, I found an original copy of No Respect at a pawn shop for like a buck or 2. I gave it a shot, but it that type of music just doesn't age well for me. It represents a specific time in my life that has long since passed. It's nice to take a nostalgic look back every now & then with bands like Cinderella and Faster Pu$$ycat, but discoving "new" bands of that era isn't my thing.

On the plus side, I did sell it on ebay for a handsome sum.

Haven't heard them in years, but I had a friend in college who worshipped their NO RESPECT album, he was always listening to it in his car anytime we went somewhere, so after a while I reached a point where I never wanted to hear it again, haha.

Seriously though, I guess they were O.K. but I never felt particularly compelled to seek out any of their album(s).

It may interest you to know that Vain's long lost album"All Those Strangers" finally got a proper CD release this year.

All Those Strangers goes for some insane prices. Anything under seventy goes real quick. I love Vain but not that much. I've become a bigger fan of later albums like Fade and Move On It than I am of the older ones like No Respect.

No Respect is a great album.

'No Respect' is decent but the reviews I've read for it online are mind-boggling. It's like because it was rare for so long that it became better in the public's mind than what it really was.

Love multiple albums by them. No Respect gets all the love but Move on It is just as good and not as glammed out.
