The Small Faces finally get some respect.......... I wonder if Steve Marriott will be mentioned or will it just be a Rod Stewart thing since The Faces are tagged onto it.

The same place the Iron Maiden, KISS, Judas Priest, UFO, Scorpions, ect are - not on the radar of the elitist pretentious bastards!!!!!!! They are trying to exclude the greatest bands ever for the RnR Hall Of Shame. They don;t get it!!!!

1. Original line-up on stage together for the first time in ages

Looking forward to Eddie Trunk's annual website/radio show rant about how the Hall of Fame is a joke and always will be until they recognize KISS, Rush, etc., etc.

Guns N Roses deserve to be in the Hall as do most of the other nominees but come, no f**kin' Deep Purple!!!!!!!!!!!!! Deep Purple along with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin built a foundation that a spawned an entire genre of music!!

BTW I love Joan Jett and Heart and they deserve nods but where is KISS and Judas Priest? For God's sake the Runaways even opened for KISS, and speaking of which why aren't the Runaways nominated?

I think the RnR HOF should make GNR wait to get in the exact number of years it took them to release Chinese Democracy.

Someone needs to build a heavy metal hall of fame for all the metal/hard rock acts that wont go in due to elitisim.

And THAT is exactly why I don't care at all about these nominees year after year. That Hall Of Fame has got to be the biggest joke !

Let's give em some of these :

Chaka Khan is a great nominee for funk hall of fame. Like Donna Summer is for the disco hall of fame. The Beastie Boys should be one of the first to enter rap hall of fame.

Why would "rock'n'roll" mean popular music in general? Should just name it Pop Music Hall of Fame and everyone from Justin Bieber to Slayer qualifies. Or call it Music Hall of Fame and include Placido Domingo, too.

I am all for The Faces/The Small Faces getting in, along with Joan Jett and even the RHCP, so long as it keeps Donna Summer out. However... If its not country, or classical its RnR... (I'm guessing what these idiots definition truly is here).

I don't know about Rock n Rock HoF, but these guys - Eric B. & Rakim - were my absolute favorite in the 80's. I left rap behind 20 years or so ago (or it left me behind) but I have fond memories of these dudes.

Yup. Whilst some nominees are significant in their own genres, they aren't rock artists.

WAR deserves to be in there, awesome band.

Every single one of those artists deserves to be recognized.

Also, disco was rock and roll too, you guys.
Don't even get me started on the Beasties. If you don't think they're rock artists, you must not have listened to them much.

My vote would go to either the Beastie Boys, Heart, or Donovan. The Runaways need to be recognized before Joan Jett gets recognized.

My all-time favorite rap act. What's funny is the two don't get along so it will be interesting to see if they play nice for the "honor". But good for them and hopefully this will cause today's rap fans to go out and buy Follow The Leader.

The HOF is what it is. But I have to say that this year I can't say the list going in is something I disagree with if I were choosing.

And at this point all the bands that keep getting shafted it probably makes for better publicity NOT getting in.

Some quick observations are this, how was Bon Jovi on the short list last year, but they're not on the short list this year? I'm not a huge fan of their work by any means, though I did really enjoy their first two offerings.

The obvious snubs from the metal heads point of view would be: Deep Purple, KISS, Judas Priest, UFO, Scorpions, and then Maiden.

With that being said, how is that a duo like Hall & Oates hasn't gotten a sniff, or how have bands like Journey, Chicago, Steely Dan, & the Doobie Brothers never been inducted??? This panel of voters is totally f'ing clueless!
