nice score on that Rage of Angels Sutekh!!
Thanks! Finally scored it for under $15! It's one of those albums I had, but sold in a fit of insanity when I drifted away from metal for a few years. Now I'm hunting down those missing gems! Also scored an original press Crucified -Pillars of Humanity for under $10 a while back.
Almost forgot: Tourniquet -Stop the Bleeding (limited edition splatter vinyl) Tourniquet -Psychosurgery (limited edition two coloured vinyl)

I read the Amazon user review for that Nightcat and he basically describes it as "an 80s movie soundtrack wimpfest".

It's dreadful. Haha. 80s dance pop with deceitful 80s rock album art. Pffft!

Guess the Amazon reviewer was right. He commented about the misleading artwork as well. It really does look like a metal/hard rock album cover:

Further research makes the whole thing even stranger.
Quote :
Nightcat was an aborted attempt on the part of Marvel Comics to create a real-world character that would also star in its comic books. Portrayed by Jacqueline Tavarez, Nightcat was to be both a comic book superhero as well as a real-world singer. The experiment got as far as the release of one comic book and one music CD before the plug was pulled.
And at about 3:25 in this video, you can hear one of the horrible horrible songs.
Or you could listen to the prior three minutes and laugh at how awkward the guy speaking sounds. Haha.

I searched for samples all over the net, you know. I did read the reviews, but thought it'd be some light AOR kind of stuff, like Siren or whatever. I dig a lot of styles of music, but 80s dance pop makes me gag. Haha.

I'd never heard of them until Shiney posted a video on Facebook the other day. So I jumped on Amazon and snagged a copy (by the way, folks, Amazon Prime is AWESOME!). The listing didn't mention it was a double disc, so it was a nice suprise.
It has these tracks:
1. Smothered In Daisy 2. Cadillac King Revolver (Demo) 3. Soak (Acoustic) 4. Smothered In Daisy (Jamie Stewart E-tended Mix!)
Fantastic album, too!
