Smashed Gladys is great! Too bad that's the only thing they released.

Just knowing one song by them makes you cool in my book. They're a favorite of mine. I spent four years living in England and left there with three new favorite bands: The Coral, The Music, and Hundred Reasons. Fantastic groups.
I do wish The Music had more songs like "Freedom Fighters" and "The People," though.

I'm not familiar with "The People". The only album I have by The Music is Welcome To The North.

Man, "The People" is ridiculously good.
This song made me a fan.
Cool song. There's just something about the rhythm section of this band that grabs me. It's like dance music for people who hate dance music.
That's the same reason I like bands like Soup Dragons, Primal Scream and Gene Love Jezebel.

Exactly. It's very much like dance music. I love their mellow stuff, too, though.

The Music is one of those bands that captures me in a way...
Stopped by my favorite used CD store (the last money I will spend on CDs until I have a job):
Shadow King-s/t (love it when I find these obscure MHR/AOR albums-quite a lot of these from 1991) Triumph-Just A Game Kiss-Music From The Elder Kiss-Creatures Of The Night Glenn Hughes-Feel
Shadow King-s/t (love it when I find these obscure MHR/AOR albums-quite a lot of these from 1991)
Upon examination and research, maybe these guys aren't so obscure after all with Lou Gramm on vocals and Vivian Campbell on guitar.
Nope. Fairly well-known band, at least among rock fans. Too bad they were just okay.
