Like their last one quite a bit. Seems like they tried to avoid the "Thrash for thrash sake" sound and tried to progress without completely forsaking their roots.
Samples sound promising.

Any opinions on this new album? I liked their debut, but the follow-up didn't do much for me and consequently, these guys kinda fell off my radar. I recently saw a mention of them on another website and wondered if this new album is any good.
Comments and opinions, good, bad or indifferent are welcome. Please show all work. You'll have 40 minutes to complete this section. Begin.

They are improving their songwriting but not enough. Their drummer sounds a bit better than he used to. I still think the lead guitar is by far the highlight of this band.
Liked it a lot better than the last one. They are improving.

The singers voice has a old-school Hetfield influence (on the new album).
I heard the new single, Cult today and this seems to be an album I will have to pick up soon.
I only own Evile's debut album, Enter the Grave which is a mixed bag of old school tharsh-influences from Metallica to Sepultura. Based on the song Cult alone, I can tell the band is slowly but surely moving away from just being a tributary (not tribute) band of 80s thrash metal into its own style.
I do agree, Matt Drake does have something of mid-late 80s Hetfield in his voice although perhaps not as aggressive sounding as Hetfield did on Justice (which was imo his career-defining vocal performance).

I have the new album.
It's very good thrash. Not havok's time is up, but very good
Been spinning this one quite a bit recently. Has a bit Metallica influence; much more than ever before. Some of these songs would fit neatly onto Master of Puppets or And Justice For All, though the production is far superior to both those albums. Quite enjoying this one.

It IS a fine album! Much better than the one before it. More melody, hooks, and some actual singing.
Their new album "Skull" (wha?) came out this week.

Was a big fan of Enter The Grave. I know I'm in the minority but I really also liked Infected Nations. And despite the fact they were at one time my favorite new thrash act I never got around to picking up Five Serpent's Teeth. I'm sure it sits on a wish list somewhere though. Guess I ought look into getting this new one as well.
I'll admit at times I feel swamped with these new thrash releases. It's like a thrash ADD syndrome with me. Evile one day, Merciless Death the next, Toxic Holocaust today. Never ends .... and that's a good thing!

I enjoyed all of their releases. None of them were in my favorites. But neither are a lot of bands I buy and listen to on a regular basis.
Just listened to a few songs on Youtube, and I'd say Skull takes 5ST and adds a whole nother level. They weren't really missing anything on the last three, but their sound seems complete on Skull.
I'd say they sound even closer to Metallica on this one. Granted I'm listening to the songs on a crappy computer speaker. Naked Sun, his vox, the guitar tone andriffs could easily be from MOP.
I think Tantara pulls off the Metallica sound pretty damn well, and Evile nails it too.
Deff. one of my favs. for this year, along with Sodom.
Gonna get it off itunes after I post this.
