I'd agree that they sort of lost their way through the 80's, as did allot of band's from that era, but they seem to have righted the ship over the last few albums.

I've been on a NWOBHM kick for some time now, but I didn't own any Girlschool. Never did. I knew I had a hole in my collection, but how big, I didn't know until I borrowed two NWOBHM compilations from the local public library (NWOBHM Winds of Time & NWOBHM Thunder, both excellent 3CD sets btw, and if I find them on sale somewhere at a decent price, I will nab them both). There were two Girlschool tracks, "It Could Be Better" and "Take It All Away", both killer tunes. And I was sold.
I looked up what I could find, and...

I bought the box set and it pretty much covers it all...you can find it on amazon
...I got this baby today. I'm looking forward to digging in. There's a thick booklet with what I assume to be the history of the band, written by Dave Ling.
Before buying I watched this unboxing video:

I've been heavily playing that box set.
This was such a cool tune off of Screaming Blue Murder, but I didn't expect to see Arnold Schwarzenegger in the music video

My copy arrived. Some typical Girlschool songs. “ It Is What It Is “. “ Party”. They do a Lemmy cover - with Biff, Duff and Phil Campbell contributing. “ Born To Raise Hell “ They do one casual melodic song that’s pretty good. Has a Beatle vibe. “It’s a Mess”. I’ve always liked them - so I’m quite biased lol. Kim’s vocals haven’t changed, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for posting those clips. It's A Mess is Beatles influenced for sure. Both tracks are pretty good. I'll pick a copy up at some point.
