No, RUNNING WILD and NIGHTMARE AT MAPLE STREET shows a different GIRLSCHOOL, much more melodic. Same with PLAY DIRTY. Just check out the cover, they look a lot more like a melodic band then a real heavy metal band. Still PLAY DIRTY has many great songs. The best albums are the first 3 and GIRLSCHOOL from 1992, a real underrated cd.

' Screaming Blue Murder' is a great disc and great place to start IMO. It is somewhat dated but still a cool disc.

I have this comp which covers their career quite nicely...
Disc 1 is awesome. Disc 2 starts out ok, but kinda loses steam mid-way through. A little too glossy and slick for my tastes. Especially when you just listened to the down & dirty disc 1.

Well, if you can find it at a decent price. I picked up my copy years ago for about $7 bucks. That listing on Amazon has it for $48. Ouch.

Was listening to this cd today in my car - unfamiluar with 1/2 the material - this one came on - had to put my sunglasses on ! The only thing that lacks - is the guitar solo's very beginning - slow and patient type lead - a teaser ! " were getting higher and higher, we need high voltage to keep us alive " !

Somebody is conspiring against me to get Girlschool's Legacy album.
I originally ordered a copy (with some other cds) back on January 15th from an overseas ebay seller. I've dealt with them many times before and I know that it can take as long as 2 or 3 weeks to receive my order. I received the other cds in my order, but not Girlschool.
After a month, I contacted the seller and they said it probably go lost and they would send me a replacement album. Months go by and still nothing. I contact them again and cancel the order. They refunded my money, no problem.
So now I go to Amazon and order the same Legacy album from a different seller. I get a confirmation that it shipped on April 18th, but no other tracking info, other than it should arrive by May 9th. As of today, May 13th, still no album. I'm awaiting a response from the seller, but at this point, I'm not getting my hopes up.
Why someone doesn't want me to have a copy of this cd is beyond me. Did I piss off the ghosts of Kelly Johnson, Ronnie James Dio and Lemmy (all of which appear on the album)?

Funny story. Deja Vu. Legacy is a good release. But that modern studio sound - "Metropolis" Motorhead cover is great - "Don't Mess Around " and, of course, "Legend "
Guest musicians:
Eddie Ojeda – lead guitar and solo on "Spend Spend Spend"
Neil Murray – bass on "Whole New World" and "Legend" Phil Campbell – guitar solo on "Whole New World", guitar solo on "Just Another Day", guitar on "Zeitgeist"
"Fast" Eddie Clarke – guitar solo on "Metropolis"
J.J. French – guitar solo on "Don't Mess Around"
Lemmy Kilmister – bass, vocals and triangle on "Don't Talk To Me"
Ronnie James Dio – vocals on "I Spy (Dio/Iommi Mix)" Tony Iommi – lead guitar on "I Spy (Dio/Iommi Mix)"

It was all over when Enid left. These two videos sum it up for me, it goes from having fun to looking hideously awkward and not sure of what they were doing.

I have this and it's well worth getting. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it but it was pretty reasonable.

I've had similar things like this in the past, where I tried to order the same CD again and again, and problems each time. The Wounded Bird Electric Angels was a recent...took a long time to get that.
When I was in 8th grade, I did the BMG 8-for-a-dollar or whatever and one choice was Ice T's Original Gangster...they sent Boyz II Men in it's place. I returned it 4 times, and each time the replacement I got was Boyz II Men. It was obviously cataloged wrong, but you know.

Well, my copy of Legacy finally arrived today. Only took 4 months and a day to finally get it in my grubby hands.
Since the anticipation to receive it was soooo great, I'm just going to assume this will be the greatest album in the history of rock n roll and it will meet every lofty expectation I have placed upon it. I no longer need to purchase new music for my collector's journey is now over

Well, the original Legacy album that I ordered back in January showed up in my mailbox today. So after waiting over 4 months for an album to arrive, within a week, I now have 2.

Disagree, I thought they only got better as they went on.
