| For Maiden obviously Dickinson would be the choice for most.Although i prefer Dianno, despite all his personal flaws the guy is a "beast" behind the mic and i think he's released his best stuff post-maiden.For myself "Killers" Murder One' and "Menace To Society" are not only his best work, but 2 of the better metal albums ever to be put out period.I also like Blaze quite a bit and think his best stuff was after "Maiden" as well.Bruce is a legend,he's just too athletic of a voice for me,his range is sick, yet i think Paul and Blaze both surpass him in having that metal attitude........

| DiAnno!
Love Dickinson as well.
Blaze has put out some great solo material, but the stuff he did with Iron Maiden isn't among my favorites. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Dickenson is the best vocalist of the 3 & probably my fave Maiden singer. however, i still have a soft spot in my heart for those DiAnno albums. _________________ | |

| I think all 3 singers have made excellent albums with Maiden, and impressive solo efforts to boot.
Dickenson is probably my Fav, but Di Anno and Bayley are two Awesome singers as well.

| Dickinson. By quite a lot. Blaze didn't do a lot for me in Maiden and whilst I like DiAnno, I enjoy Bruce's voice far more. _________________ | |

| i love di'anno and put the first 2 on par with the dickinson days but dickinson is my fave maiden singer. i love the x factor but i'm still not keen on virtual XI. too many repetitive chorus's. but i don't blame blaze because he has a good voice, steve harris has to have to blame for the writing the songs | |

| I'm a Dickinson fan through and through.Neither Dianno or Bayley could top him. The Dianno albums are excellent though. The Bayley Maiden era was weak material, not his fault. He's an okay singer , just wasn't singing over good songs

Nice to see so many of you like Blaze, I thought everyone but me hated the poor guy I like X Factor, although I confess I didn't like it at first. It was a grower. It's a much darker sounding Maiden IMO. Not among my favorites, but I do like it now, instead of loathing it. Same with Virtual XI. My son loved Virtual XI, so he played it often. I guess from hearing it in the house so much, I started enjoy it more. Blaze was never the problem IMO. It was the songwriting and the shock of a change in singers.

| I enjoy Bruce the best. I like the DiAnno albums as well. I never cared for the stuff with Blaze, though his is by no means a bad vocalist. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| The first time I heard Maiden back in the early 80s was with Bruce on vocals, so he's always been "my" Maiden vocalist if that makes any sense. I dig the DiAnno stuff as well, and even some of the Blaze material (to a lesser extent) but Bruce is the man...
Like Ult, I didn't care for X FACTOR at all when I first heard it. I must've played it over and over for about two weeks when I first got it, really WANTING to like it, but after a while I just gave up and traded the CD away. As far as I was concerned at that time, Blaze wasn't worthy to carry Bruce's jock strap. I was actually invited to a Maiden show on the X FACTOR tour (they played the tiny Birch Hill Nightclub in New Jersey on that tour!), but I passed because at that time I had never seen Maiden live and I certainly didn't want my first live Maiden experience to be with THAT guy on vocals. I figured I'd get pissed when I heard Blaze screw up a Bruce song, throw a bottle at him, and end up in jail! Of course, now I wish I had gone, cuz I now realize how cool it must've been to see IRON MAIDEN in a tiny little place like that, no matter who was singing...
Funny thing though, having a hole in my otherwise-complete Maiden discography started to bug me years later, so I got VIRTUAL XI (which I'd initially ignored when it was first released) via Lala last year and liked that one quite a bit more than I expected to. Then I was in a used CD store and found THE X FACTOR staring me in the face again. I was like "This is a sign, Eddie must want you to buy this album again," hahaha, so I re-purchased it. It wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered, but still, the Blaze era ranks near the bottom of the Maiden pile IMHO

| For me personally, I think Maiden isnt Maiden without Bruce! Although each singer had its merits, none came close to what Bruce has brought to the table.
Dianno, well he is a good singer, but I think the worst of the three.
Blaze is actually an fantastic singer and his two albums with maiden were excellent, but took time to grown on you.
Each has a great solo career, but Bruce again I think shines best solo of the three.
Hands down I would have to say Bruce, I simply love all the albums with him on it, then Blaze gets second. Sadly Paul D is just a washed up has been to me now. |

| BRUCE by a mile - I like the Dianno albums, but Bruce is a much better singer for Maiden. I never liked Blaze's voice and I don't particually like X or XI. They do have a few good songs on them, but the CD's were lacking in the voice, of song writing (some good songs) and production. Sign Of The Cross, The Clansman and Lord Of The Flies sounds GREAT on Rock in Rio and Death On The Road, of course that is with Bruce singing the songs - just goes to show that Blaze was the wrong singer for Maiden. | |

| Dickinson. My first exposure to Maiden was "Number of the Beast" on vinyl in my buddy's basement when I was in 8th grade. I didn't even know they had another singer before him till I was in high school, but by that time it was too late. Bruce was THE VOICE of Maiden. I've since learned to appreciate Paul DiAnno as well. Good, but different. Bayley I never really gave a fair chance to in Maiden, but I really dig his solo material. I think he's a fine singer, just a victim of poor material and filling a huge void in a legendary band. | |

| Dianno is my choice. Bruce has more range and versitility, but as Jack Black say: "Rock ain't about getting stuff perfect."
Paul had that extra attitude that I just love, plus Killers is my favorite album, so that helps to make the choice.
