What do you mean with his bare hands? Ted drove his Oldsmobile into a channel with passenger. I'm not trying to exonerate the guy, as he should have done some time in prison. But, he didn't murder Mary Jo Kopechne. At most, Ted definitely should have been charged with manslaughter. With that being said, there's a big difference between outright murder and manslaughter.

I said he did all BUT that. I know he didn't kill her with his bare hands.

I don't know...I hate to say it, but the way we perceived drunken driving back then and even into the 70's was a complete joke. People acted like Ted got away with murder, but he really didn't. I have an uncle, who in 1976 was behind a wheel with his best friend. Both had been drinking very heavily. They got into a horrible wreck involving a tree. My uncle lived, his best friend was killed. I actually heard the chain of events for the first time about five years ago from my other uncle, who more or less remembers the events at the hospital all too well. Needless to say he had everyone's attention that night, as he shed more than a few tears in his recollection of what happened to his brother and unfortunately his friend. My uncle, who caused this man's death, never spent ONE day in jail and he is not a person of privilege. This was generally how drunken driving was perceived, as if it wasn't a real crime. Sad, but true.....

Finally. A man who willingly stands up for what he believes in despite anyone caring. I used to pay for everyone's Blue Cross Blue Shield healthcare when I worked at Burger King. GOD FORBID people pay for a whole country's healthcare. I say this after watching all the videos somebody posted.

The funniest thing (for me) about all this Weiner whoop-de-doo was when the porn star he'd been sexting, Ginger Lee, got herself a high powered lawyer and claimed that though she and Weiner had been in contact for some time, they'd never talked about sex, only politics. Hence, the reason she was so shocked when he started sending her dirty pictures.

This Weiner guy is obviously a moron.

Two years after his previous "sexting" scandal cost him his gig in Congress, his current campaign for Mayor of New York City is now endangered because his habit of sending nekkid pics of himself to women apparently didn't end after the last escapade.

His wife is either the most understanding person in the world, or an idiot, cuz she's all over the news this morning saying she's "forgiven" him (again!) and "moved on."

Translation: "I really want to be the First Lady of New York City, no matter what kind of sh*t I have to put up with."

He must be in an awful place emotionally to continue doing this. Something is feeding the addiction. I was once very much addicted to pornography, so sadly I can put myself in this powerless position where you objectify yourself for little reasonable logic. I read one pundit who theorized that the only reason these two are making an appearance to "stay together" is for political profit. His motives are obvious but apparently his wife is a close confidante of Hilary Clinton who is widely expected to run for president in 2016 so he theorizes that could be her motive for "forgiving" her husband.
