The Awful Truth featured Monty Colvin & Alan Doss of Galactic Cowboys and a 3rd member on guitar/vocals. They were a power trio playing heavy, spacey 12-string distorted bass, hard rock with awesome vocal harmonies...more ambient than King's X...produced by Sam Taylor and released one album on Metal Blade in 1989.

might be obvious to most people here, but Ultimatum is underrated.

LETHAL

TT QUICK (great band. Ahead of their time IMO.)

The MOSHKETEERS (though I know they would probably never have been major label status, they at least should have been as known as Deliverance and Vegneance Rising.)

VENGEANCE RISING (just my opinion, but I think they really got the shaft from their record company. They were building so much momentum before the label sold to Frontline and became a "Christian label" with "Christian distribution". Before that, they had solid distribution. I always thought they should have been as well known as any of the more well known thrash bands like Dark Angel, Death Angel, Kreator, Sodom, etc.)

KING'S X (why weren't these guys as big as Alice in Chains and other bands of that ilk?)
