Reading last month's Classic Rock magazine, I saw that Peter released an all intrumental album, Fingerprints, back in 2006 and won a Grammy for it in '07. Some pretty impressive guests on it as well.

Does anyone have this and is it any good? The clips on Amazon sound pretty promising. I wouldn't say I'm a big Frampton fan, but I dig a good instrumental album from time to time.

I haven't heard the album, but I did hear him play "Black Hole Sun" live on his last tour. Even though it was weird hearing him play a Soundgarden song, it sounded fantastic.

So I picked this one up and I'm really enjoying it. I never in a million years woulda thought I'd have a Frampton album in my collection, but this one's pretty sweet.

Anyone who is a fan of laid back type guitar instrumentals should give this one a shot. He mixes up styles enough too so it's not boring. Some jazzier moments, some rock, some acoustic, some flamenco style. He even brings back the old voice-box harmonizer (is that what it's called?) in 'Black Hole Sun'.

You go Pete! Looks like the old dog still has some new tricks up his sleeve.

Bumping this one 'cause it's what I'm listening to at the moment. So good.

The last track on here('Souveniers de Nos Peres') is a tribute (cover?) to Djanjo Reinhardt, which tells me I need to add Django to my "want list" STAT!
