One year ago today...

Ronnie James Dio died at the age of 67.



One of the best! Too bad he's no longer with us.

Damn, that was a quick year.

I've got DREAM EVIL in my listening stack today in tribute....

Wow? A year already?!? Man, that was quick. I'll have to spin some Heaven & Hell this week.

As will I. I've already spun Rainbow - Rising, and am currently listening to the Holy Diver album.

I will be playing some live Dio tonight

Sad, but we all may not last for ever, but his music will. We are fortunate to have his legacy to remember!

VERY HARD TO BELEIVE IT'S ONLY ONE YEAR. HOWEVER, HIS MUSIC STILL LIVES ON. ABOUT A MONTH AGO I PLAYED ALL MY FAVORITE DIO SONGS AND TODAY I HEARD MY FAVORITE SONG SUNG BY HIM, STARGAZER.

I'll have to whip out my guitar and play One Night in the City, the first Dio song I tought myself.

A very sad day it was. However, I've been listening to/singing his entire catalog today, as I am right now. I miss him a lot... however, for those of you who've been on the Metal Archives today, they've decided to donate to Dio's favorite charities (Children of The Night and the Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund). I think this is a great idea, and if any of you could help in this effort, it'd be greatly appreciated! I've already donated $50 to each, and it feels good.

Anyway... PRAISE DIO!

That was quick....was watching "a headbanger's journey" yesterday and laughed at the footage from Ronnie's home (RIP)

I had intentions of playing Rising today but the day kind of slipped by. Tomorrow I'll be blasting that and a couple more of my favorite works of his

I love Dio's music, and I had deep respect for him. Can't believe it's already been a year - thank you Dio, for your incredible contribution and influence to the Heavy Metal scene!
