| I like some of Distrubed's work, especially the newer stuff - "Indestructible" is an awesome song! Other than that....I simply cannot stand RATM, or any other band that tires to incorporate hip-hop with rock/metal - and I don't care for Soundgarden, so.....

| Anyone get this album? I'm listening to some clips and even though I don't believe he plays on it, this has a distinct Dave Mustaine flava to it. He produced and wrote some of the lyrics. And the singer has a similiar sneer in his delivery. Sounds kinda cool.
I'm not sure I get the early comparrisons to Disturbed or RATM, but then again I don't listen to those bands, so maybe I'm off.
Amazon only has mp3 downloads available. Has anyone seen an actual cd of this release? _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| It's not on CD yet. Spitz has confirmed Dave didn't play on the album. Haven't listened to it yet...
EDIT: The Red Lamb Facebook says hard copies will be available in 2-3 weeks through Amazon.
On track 2 right now, it's decent. Definitely modern metal (so far).

| Take a listen to some of these samples and tell me this guy isn't doing a MegaDave impression... http://www.amazon.com/Red-Lamb/dp/B0076DEEVK/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1328892684&sr=1-1 ...which is fine by me And yea, Dave only co-produced and wrote the songs, but doesn't perform on the album. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Oh yeah, the guy definitely sounds like Dave at times. I caught that on the first song. | |

| I hear zero RATM and zero Disturbed and zero Soungarden in those samples...haha! I do, however, hear a big (current) Megadeth influence. _________________ FINAL SIGN

Cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. I kinda dig what I'm hearing in the samples. I guess it's "modern metal" sounding? Not thrash and not classic Maiden/Priest metal either. I guess that's where it gets the Disturbed tag. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. So do I. "Don't Threaten to Love Me" and "Angels of War" could've come from any recent Megadeth album. "The Cage" and "One Shell" are kinda modern. This singer, Don Chaffin, sounds a lot like Dave at times. I'm wondering if maybe Spitz originally wanted Mustaine, couldn't get him and decided to go with a Dave sound-alike. On track 8 now, I think it's a good album. Anyone who likes what Megadeth has been doing in the last 10 years should like this album.

| Anyone listen to this album? It's like a weird parallel universe lost Megadeth album. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Bump.
Revisiting this album today and I'm pleasantly surprised how much I'm enjoying it. Re-reading this thread and I would have to say all the "modern metal" and comparisons to Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden and Disturbed are way, way off. Not even close. Whoever wrote that press release is either completely clueless or so full of sh*it, it's clogging their ears. Probably a little bit of both.
The singer is a clear ringer for Mega Dave and the whole album sounds like outtakes or b-sides from past Megadeth albums. Think of it as another MD.45 album. But not quite.
Anyway, take that review for what it's worth and check this album out. Or don't. I don't care either way. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Yeah, I thought this album sounded promising and I can't believe how much talent Spitz brought together. I need to really listen through it a few times but haven't seen a cheap copy pop up.
I think it would've gotten more attention if he had continued to record and play shows though, which is true of many bands.
