Circle of Dust I doubt any of these bands are that obscure in the Christian metal community (maybe secular yes), but I think most people have heard of Bride, Christian or not.

| Bride is a pretty well known band. They have played in front of crowds as big a 30,000 in Brazil. Crazy huh?
Circle of Dust had their music used on MTV quite a bit in the 1990's.
I almost put Seventh Angel on my list. I love them, but I had a feeling someone would say they weren't 'obscure'. I tend to think they are. I don't know many outside the small Christian scene that know them. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

I could list some black metal bands but there very well known to Black Metal fans but maybe not to most people her, but anyways -
Mayhem Burzum Darkthrone Immortal Bladesmith only bladesmith would be considered obscure. even toddlers know of the other bands you listed. How about Bestial Summoning. I know there obscure but it wasn't too hard to find a place to get there album though. |

- KingPest reminded me of another one, Seventhsign. Great melodic metal band from New Mexico. Released 2 full length albums and an EP.
Greg Analla is now in a band named 237. It looks like it is more rock oriented, I need to check it out in more depth. http://www.myspace.com/twothirtysevenband

| Kilgore Smudge (later just Kilgore) I went to h.s. with them in Providence RI and used to listen to them practice after school while the wrestling team was running the corridors. It gave us inspiration. Plus it was 1991 and everyone in my h.s. loved metal!!! Well, not all the chicks. They liked Mariah Carey and Billy Joel, but we loved them anyway. | |
