These are different incarnations of the same band. I had been given CDR's of them and gotten addicted enough to buy factory issues for my collection. Good stuff, kinda like Gentle Giant or Van Der Graf meets Steely Dan!

its from around 1970-71. I expect by the name that they were inspired by Black Widow maybe, but more jazzy/proggy

Ahhh........ Black Widow......... ("......Come to the Sabbat......"). Their third album is my favorite. It has "The Battle" on it.
Does that make them similar to Raw Material and Gnidirolog then?
Have I asked before if you if like Cressida and Gracious?

Michael Monroe - Not Fakin It Omen - The Curse / Nightmares
Not Fakin It was my favorite MM/Hanoi Rocks album until Sensory Overdrive.
That was the 2nd time I've owned that Monroe cd, but it just did nothing for me. I love his work with Hanoi Rocks so I figured that one would be a slam dunk. Nadda. When I started phasing out some of my glam/hair bands back in the mid-90's, off it went. Fast forward a few years and I found a cheap copy so I thought I'd give it another chance. Nope. Still nothin'. I ripped it to my computer if I want to revisit it again, but something just doesn't click with me.

Not sure. We don't have an intern today and I'll be damned if I'm walking all the way down to the mailroom. So it could be sitting in my inbox.

Web/Samurai does resemble Gnidrolog, but without the sharp edges. I've heard Gracious but it didn't make an impression, haven't followed Cressida or Raw Material.
