Man, I love Dave Matthews Band. Been a big fan since I got the debut as a promo in the music store I worked in as a teen.

So many metal fans hate this band. Haha. I don't get it.

For me, it's two things:

A) I absolutely cannot stand Dave's nasally vocals

and

B) Record promoters have continuously shoved this group down our collective throats for years and I'm just not buying it.

He definitely has a talented band behind him but for some reason DMB annoys the living hell outta me.

Yet I like Counting Crows. Go figure.

And I hate Counting Crows. Haha.

I think they are great also, and seeing them live is even better.

DMB is a great band...excellent musicians...much more musical and intricate than most people realize...absolutely not a band to ignore. I can see why people don't like Dave's voice, but not everyone like's Vince Neil's or Ozzy's voice either...

I am get alot of crap for this, but IMO John Mellencamp is not only an underrated songwriter but a better songwriter then Bruce Springsteen, who Mellencamp used to be often compared to.

This was a blind buy. I figured I'd get it, listen to some samples and if I didn't like it I could return it. Turns out I really liked what I heard. Heavy, with earp piercing screams, gutteral growls, good clean vocals, and amazing guitar work. This is the song that has helped my decision to keep it:
