flac files are higher quality, so you'll lose some in transferring to .mp3.
foobar2000 is a free audio player with some built in conversion tools.

Correct. You want to convert them to .wav and then burn to CD. A flac file is the same exact quality as a CD, just in a zipped format. The final burned CD will be identical to the original.

I use Goldwave for converting those from flac to wav (batch processing option).

I tried the foobar thang, but it only let me convert to 64kbps (or whatever the tag is). Goldwave worked great though THANKS!

It's been awhile since I've had to use Windows software for this stuff, been using a Mac for a couple years now and I'm never looking back.
