| Definitely Sepultura, Testament had already begun spinning their wheels by this point.
The Overkill would still be my first choice of the 3. |

| Wait till you see the 1976 - 1989 poll. It seems like the entire poll is dominated by Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Anthrax. Pretty predictable choices actually. I just need the get these three tie breakers done and then we can do the final 76 - 89. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Testament by default again. I never cared much for Sepultura in general and never heard that particular album. Practice What You Preach however still gets regular spins from me. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I dig both albums but gotta go with Testament on this one. - detuned wrote:

I thought PRACTICE was their last really solid album, and that the wheel spinning began with SOULS OF BLACK. But hey, that's just me. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Beneath the Remains is definitely the better of these two albums IMO. It's a lot faster, heavier, and crunchier. I love Testament's first two albums but PWYP is a little weak at times. Still, it has some cool songs on it like "Perilous Nation", "Time is Coming", etc. | |

| "Practice What You Preach" was a commercial thrash lp (IMHO) Good lp..."oh yeah"
"Beneath The Remains" is a dirty from the gutter type of thing. gets my vote from those two _________________

| Even though I voted for Testament, I just wanted to mention that Sepultura disc is no slouch either. I saw them on their first tour of the U.S. for the BENEATH album... great show. "Inner Self" is still a fave. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

This - agree with Keith Practice was good (especially the first few tracks), but the ideas seemed to be a little less interesting and I could hear a decline in the making. They started to slip on that record...then lost traction on Souls Of Black. Beneath The Remains just sounded really fresh in 1989 and Testament sounded "safe". |

| "Practice" was a big step down from their first two albums, while "Beneath" is SEPULTURA's finest release.

Schizophrenia, Beneath the Remains, and Arise are three of the best thrash albums of all time.
