I love alot of 80's music but I also loved alot of bands that most members of this board loathed such as Soundgarden, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and other bands that were alot less popular and honestly liked better then most of the metal bands of the 80's

I will mention that the change in musical climate in the 90's did seem to get some bands to step out of the box and put out some quite different but still good material: Forbidden(was listening to Distortion today), Testament, Overkill, and Kreator are all bands where I think it worked fairly well.

I still say 80's, but some good stuff did surely come out of the 90's as well.

a few years ago I would have said 80s most likely but I found that theres always stuff from any era that I can dig. I like em both equally.
