I had another one of these yesterday during the Cardinals' marathon game against Pittburgh (19 innings).
By the third time Matt Holliday came up for STL I listened to his intro music and went "Hey, that sounds like the entrance music for The Big Show in WWE". So I googled Cards' entrance music and sure enough, that's what Holliday's music is. "Welll........It's The Big Show....."

Last night at the Phillies game, between innings, the new KISS song 'Hell or Hallelujah" was played.

I've been hearing Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as back ground music in a radio ad for some kind of prescription medication.

This morning as our local news was going to commercial they played ZZ Top's "I Got Your Six". It faded out right before the "Gimme your nine" part of the chorus but they did play the part of the verse that said "Guess I'll have to spank my monkey". I bet someone got in trouble for that selection.

Maybe that's the one. I thought it was a medication ad but then I tend to zone out during radio commercials.

I started watching Californication. David Duchovney plays a washed up novelist...and all of his novels are the names of Slayer albums!
His three books are "South Of Heaven", "Seasons In The Abyss" and "God Hates Us All".
There's also a scene where he's being interviewed and the talk show host is Henry Rollins.

I watched the Lemmy movie documentary last night, and he was on the set of Californication in one segment. He apparently guests in episode.
Another thing that caught my attention was the fact that one of the members of The Darkness was wearing a Stryper shirt in the clip from the Rainbow bar & grill!

This may have been mentioned already (I'm too lazy to look back thru the thread to find out) but I recently saw the roller-derby movie "Whip It" and Ellen Page's character wears a Stryper t-shirt in several scenes. The shirt eventually becomes a major plot point.

My kids are watching a SpongeBob cartoon right now in which S.B. is sent off to a military style "Milkshake Academy" -- and the commanding officer's voice is none other than Michael McKean of "Spinal Tap" fame!

I haven't seen that SportsCenter ad.
Anyone else see the new Volkswagon commercial with the guy "air drumming" to the chorus of Rush's "Fly By Night" ? Cracks me up when he's busted by people watching him because he's now no longer invisible because he has a VW.

When Ohio State plays a home game, the stadium plays the bells and opening riff to "Hells Bells" when OSU is on 3rd down.
Apologies if this has been mentioned. As others have said, I'm too lazy to search the thread.

Watched "The Dilema: with the ol lady the other evening. One of the idgits quips, "Can't wait to go to rock city, Detroit is something or another blah blah blah" I knew that the KISS tune was coming and of course it di. I suppose that would be "expected usuage of a rock/metal tune. That is a bad @$$ riff...so it always sounds kiler blasting from speakers.

I just watched a "Scooby Doo" Halloween special from the mid '00s with my 5 year old ... and KISS made an appearance (in animated form) during the big Halloween costume party scene towards the end, playing "Shout It Out Loud."
When the party gets attacked by various ghouls & monsters, "Ace" sez to Paul, "What should we do?" and Paul sez "Same thing we always do -- keep playing till the cops come!"
Note Shaggy and Scooby throwin' the horns around the :20 mark.
(In this episode we also learn that Shaggy has a KISS tattoo on his forehead... )

Speaking of Scooby Doo, in a movie that came out this year a song is featured by Derrick Green and Jean Dolabella of Sepultura. Disappointingly they replaced Green's vocals when it's actually performed by the band in the movie, but the original version still appears during the credits:

In the newest episode of "Regular Show", they play Motley Crue's "Toast of the Town" during an opening montage. Since its such an obscure song, either the creator or one of the writers must be a crue fan.

I see this commercial constantly now and the one thing it makes me realize is how great that song is.

Not a tv or movie moment, but I was picking up my daughter at the bowling alley the other day, and they were playing Dragonforce over the in-house speakers!!

Last night I heard the Misfits' "Where Eagles Dare" as background music in a TV commercial for some kind of spiced rum drink. That was a little bizarre.

Yea, I've seen that one too. Sailor Jerry Rum...
And here's a longer version...

I cringe when I hear Queen's 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' in a Lay's potato chip commercial. Is that how Freddy would want to be remembered?
