Only in your world would a notion so absurd make sense. It's a famous photo. I bet the band has no idea Tesla used it, or at least didn't know beforehand.







And there's a ton more bands that used that image as well. Surely they all didn't conspire to copy each other.

I always thought Guillotine's UNDER THE GUILLOTINE sounded like early Kreator.

As for album covers how about these two

Black Sabbath - Sleep and Sheavy.

Sheavy sounds so much like Sabbath that some of the customers actually ask me if i'm listening to Sabbath.

I find that when I first discover band A that sounds like band B, I usually disagree after I become more familiar with band A. But probably that's just me.

That's probably the case with the new Whitesnake album title too.

Forgive me for being absurd... I was trying to be funny about how there is a tendency for unoriginality in the cover art side of the industry (borrowed ideas etc...)

When I first read about Ultimatum in the RadRockers catalog years ago, it described 'em as "similar to Overkill, Exodus, and AC/DC."

Wasn't it Exodus or Overkill that covered AC/DC's "Overdose"?

Who ever it was, I heard it and it was quite good.

I agree with that. I always thought more Pantera than Metallica as well. Part of that is because of the very sterile, digital recording, which is the same sound Pantera made popular. The vocals are at times very Hetfield-ish, so that's where the Metallica connection comes from.

Actually, the rolley eyes thing was what i would do if the darkest hour guys actually said what i wrote. It had nothing to do with you...

On the computer it's sometimes easy to take things the wrong way.
