So I'm still listening to the Metallic Dawning 2-disc comp I bought and so far, of the bands I've never heard of, the band Manimal has impressed me the most.
The song on here is "The Life We Lived". Reminds me of Empire-era Queensryche.
Anybody got any input on this band?

One other thing this comp set has confirmed is that I am officially done with Nightwish,
The track "Master, Passion, Greed" is on the first disc and since I already own the album it's on, I almost skipped it. But I decided to let it play and see if my first impressions of Dark Passion Play were misguided.
Nope. I still think this song really, really sucks. Boring proggy, synth parts, Marco howling his head off and the new singer's vocals buried beneath Tuomas' wanky songwriting.
The current incarnation of Nightwish just plain sucks IMO.

Yeah, the name sucks. I'm glad I didn't know the band name when I first heard the song or I might have skipped right over it.

I have this album, bought it after a great review in Scream Magazine. But I didn't like it all that much. I need to revisit it though.
