Pinched this from another forum ... are you ready for this?
I swear I am not making this up. This band really exists.
http://www.letsmaketragedyhappen.com/music.html
TRAGEDY plays metalized covers of Bee Gees songs and have released an album called WE ROCK SWEET BALLS AND CAN DO NO WRONG.
They claim to be "the #1 Heavy Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees in the tri-state area," which I'm sure is accurate cuz how much competition could there be for the title?
I guess this was bound to happen, lots of metal bands have covered ABBA songs so it was only a matter of time before the Bee Gees started getting some props.

Totally made me laugh when I heard him say that. Brilliant idea!

Reminds me a of someone telling me years ago about a hard rock band covering John Denver songs. Whatever floats your boat I say. Hell, I've often thought of metalizing Moody Blues and Billy Joel songs.

I think we need to go person by person and find out who the lunatic is....

I couldn't get any of the songs on that link to play.
So how does this actually sound?
I could see this working because the BeeGees could write memorable tunes.

Sorry Toho, it's hard for me to describe sounds. Think of an 80's classic metal band making love to the Bee Gee's.

A buddy on mine emailed about these guys months ago. They were playing in Philly. Kinda fun for the first coupla listens, but the joke wears a little thin after awhile. Maybe it's just me though. I don't care much for the BeeGee's to begin with. Unlike Beatallica, who I can listen to over and over, being a fan of both Metallica & the Beatles.
They'd probably be a hoot to see live though.

Thank you, sir! =)
I'm no fan of the Bee Gees, but I think "Stayin' Alive" is a fantastic song. So I dig that metal cover. I have no plans to buy the album, though. Haha.
You see their other band, Children of the Unicorn?
Haha. It's gotta be a blast playing in a band like this.

They have broken up now though.

I've slowed down! I've only bought 197 albums so far this year. Haha.
