| There is a signed version of this here http://store.imotorhead.com/motorhead/preorder/ It comes with the CD/DVD a t shirt and vinyl signed by Lemmy. Wish it was the whole band because Mickey Dee is one of my all time favorite drummers but I guess i'll just have to do with Lemmys signature since I ordered this yesturday. haha _________________ | |

Went lookin' for this at a few stores 'round my office today...I figured it was a long shot but thought the Best Buy might have it. No such luck. In fact, Best Buy didn't have any Motorhead stuff at all. I even sez to the guy who tried to help me find it "This band has like 200 albums out and you don't have ANY of them? That is so wrong." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

However, if you're looking for the original cast recording of the latest episode of "Glee", I'm sure they're plenty of those. I know it's been months since I went cd shopping in Best Buy. I've pretty much given up on them anymore. Unless I'm dumpster diving in the local FYE used sections or Goodwill, my music shopping is pretty much on-line anymore. Another by-gone era that I can bore my kids with pointless stories about someday. And that reminds me, I need to get that new Motorhead album. Today (Feb. 8th) is the official release date, right? That Jan. 25th date got pushed back I believe. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Was it really? I didn't know anything about a release date change... I just went out looking for it on a whim. Even so, if today was the release date THEN THEY SHOULDA HAD THE DAMN THING!!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Just by coincidence, I saw this headline on the Comcast homepage regarding Top 10 struggling businesses. #10 on the list? - Quote :
Best Buy
December same-store sales for the consumer electronics company fell 4 percent. For the same period, sales at Best Buy stores open for at least 14 months declined 5 percent in the United States as competing retailers offered deeper discounts. Profits for Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) decreased 4.4 percent in the third quarter compared to last year. The company risks further loss in market share as more consumers turn to mass merchants and online shopping for their electronics needs. Best Buy offered a weak forecast for the quarter ahead when it announced earnings. The firm’s stock fell from $42 to $34 the day of the disclosure. Best Buy will specifically face greater future competition with stories like Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) and Amazon.com _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | In regards to Best Buy, just a little over a decade ago I found Candlemass-Nightfall (I didn't get it because I didn't know who they were at the time though I was tempted because of the awesome album cover). Just 5 years ago I found plenty of Iced Earth CDs, now I can barely find much of anything good there. I've almost completly given up on finding CDs there but because of mindless optimism I still check when I'm down there, but I never go down there exclusively for CDs anymore. Apart from used CD stores I never go anywhere exclusively for music anymore.
In regards to Motorhead, I just ordered my CD/DVD/T-shirt. Unfortunatly I just missed the signed one, besides $45 is a little too much especially since I recently spent $75 on CD Baby's $5 sale.

I used to love to go to Best Buy for CDs. They used to even have listening stations pimping obscure latest releases. Heck, that's where I discovered KMFDM (the Nihil album). Now all they have is electronics and leftover CDs. BTW, regarding the new Motorhead, it got a pretty good review at sleazeroxx. I don't suppose Lemmy's voice improved any for this one, did it?
