| I've said it before but after several recent CD additions I'm reminded of this, I love melodic hard rock/AOR. Whether blues based or pop based I love it all and I have been working on a collection for several years now. With the over abundance of 80s and early 90s albums circulating in used CD stores out there I find plenty of them. However, with the more modern MHR/AOR, I am quite lacking. I know there was a post like this a while back but that was several years ago. These are some I have (mid 90s and beyond) and albums I don't have from the bands mentioned are welcome as well (I have no PC69 but their stuff is hard to find so you can skip suggestions from them unless you can suggest ones that are easy to get):
Domain-The Artefact Line of Fire-s/t Line Of Fire-Momentum House Oo Lords-Cartisian Dreams W.E.T.-s/t Gotthard-Domino Effect Gotthard-Need To Believe Place Vendome-Streets Of Fire Sunstorm-House Of Dreams TNA-Branded Human Zoo-Over The Horizon Khymera-A New Promise Khymera-The Greatest Wonder Action-s/t

| Here I some I highly recommend:
Line of Fire (with our very own Shawn singing)
Zillion (fantastic, catchy and almost unheard of, despite the its known members)
Pretty Maids (ok, so these Danes are perhaps more metal than AOR, but if you like it melodic, you just have to check them out). _________________

| I would add:
Alliance - Road to Heaven (more AORish but still good) Gotthard - Lip Service Brother Firetribe - Heart Full of Metal Bush, Stan - In This Life Charing Cross - We Are Charing Cross Farcry - High Gear Free Spirit - Pale Sister of Light Hardline - Leaving the End Open H.E.A.T - H.E.A.T H.E.A.T - Freedom Rock House of Lords - Come to my Kingdom Leverage Tides Leverage Blind Fire Leverage Circus Colossus Mad Max - White Sands MyLand - No Mans Land White Wolf - Victim of the Spotlight Red Circuit - Homeland (maybe a wee bit more power metalish but...) Outloud - Outloud

| No one mentioned the band Grand Illusion any album by these guys is a quality release. They started out more as pure AOR and have gotten a bit heavier with each release. The Book Of How To Make It (2001) View From The Top (2002) Ordinary Just Won't Do (2004) Brand New World (2010)
all good quality AOR/MHR.

| Cool! Let us know what you think about these releases. I'm eager to know how you find that Zillion disc. To me it's a hidden gem! _________________ | |

| David Readman's (PC69 singer) solo disc is absolutely great for this style. 9.99 from Amazon zShops. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I am anxious to get the second one. I played the heck out of the S/T cd. Great stuff! _________________

| I'd say it's about the same in terms of quality, though it's a shame the singer quit afterwards. | |

it was. Its annoying when bands have something good and they throw it away... _________________
