Went to a bunch of little record shops down here on the Cape...and found NOTHING! I was so depressed. Then we went to the Newbury Comics at the Cape Cod Mall, and clearly someone sold off their Ginger/Wildhearts collection. So I snatched up everything I didn't have, which was pretty much everything there.

Nearly all of them came with the Japanese inserts and OBI strips. Cost me about $80 total, but well worth it. You know, though, that whoever sold them only got a fraction of that. Sad.

That's a really good album!!! A lot of prog snobs see it as commercial!? I just kick back and enjoy the songs.

I remembered liking them from your comp so it was an easy decision at that price. I've really like what I've heard so far. It is very commercial sounding, but that is probably a good starting point for me before venturing onto their other stuff.

Spock's Beard is fantastic. Octane is probably their heaviest.

Great haul! Yeah, somebody seriously decided to ditch Ginger. BTW, he's touring as part of Michael Monroe's band these days.

BTW is that The Upper Crust the same band that sounds like AC/DC and wears powdered wigs.

I needed a power pop fix. So I got:

That first Knack album is vintage power pop. I actually like several songs more than the classic "My Sharona", especially "Good Girls Don't".

Reminds me I need to pick that one up CD; I still only have it on vinyl.

Uggg. I saw these guys open for Motorhead and they were terrible, just terrible. The band was sloppy and the lead "singer" was a spastic mess, screaming and ranting between songs. Hope they sound better in the studio, Shiney.

This isn't too bad....Once in a while it gets a litte...I dunno "emo"y vocally or somehting but most of it rocks...lots of soaring twin leads and stuff...I'd say the vocals are the weakest part.

I have heard they suck ass live.

I never heard of them till I saw that they were on the bill with Lemmy. It was a few years ago, so I have no idea if the album you got was their debut or if it's newer or whatever. Judging by what I'd heard on their myspace page, I was willing to give 'em a shot, but when I actually saw them, they couldn't get off the stage fast enough.

I know they toured like non-stop for a few years...Warped and then Motorhead all one after another...maybe they were just worn out whe you saw them...the disc seems pretty solid.
