I love the album but it is not the album I would have had a Zappa newbie start with.

I chose it because his vocals tend to turn me off. If I can appreciate his playing, then the vocals won't be that important. So far I heard the first disc and it's excellent.

Not going to try and get all the Tom Petty stuff since I'm not a huge fan but I do like some of his songs. My friend had an extra copy of this so he gave it to me. Who knows though by next week I'll probably have a complete Tom Petty Discography lol
