You know, I find a lot of great CDs around my town and in Boston, but every time I go away from that area I realize there are too many collectors around there. Shiney finds me killer stuff down in PA, and I find killer stuff when I go away.

On the way up through Maine, I stopped at a Newbury Comics. Scored these (some killer, some just cool) for $4.99 or less (except the one from SwapaCD):

I know what you mean, Eyesore. I feel like the Philadelphia market is drying up. The few used stores that are left aren't getting in anything new and garage sales and flea markets mostly have common garbage, if that. But 2 weeks ago, I hit a used shop in Jersey and found 6 or 7 discs in no time and coulda found much more if I had time.

I'm not MetalGuy but I've always wanted to go to this store myself. It'd be a bit of a drive for me, about 2+ hours, but it certainly looks like it'd be worth the trip.

This here's another Jersey record store that I can heartily recommend... been going there since the mid 80s. It's been a coupla years since my last visit though... I'm about due.

They have a coupla locations, the one I visited is in Turnersville, NJ. Only been there a handful of times, but I've had great success every time I visit. Good selection of new & (mostly) used cds with good prices. Most of the used selections are $7.99 or less. They have vinyl, dvd's and video games too, but I couldn't tell you prices or selections.

I'm going to what is dubbed the "PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET with over 300 sellers!" this Sunday in downtown Philly. It's my first time attending, so I'm not sure what to expect. Might be cool, might be a total bust.

I am always amazed not only how many CD's you buy at one time but the diversity of the music/artists you purchase
