Green Lantern movie Concept art!

THIS is the comic book movie I'm most eagerly waiting for.
Purple guy: Abin Sur (This is who Hal Jordan/Green Lantern gets his ring from [I'll try and not put any real spoilers here])

Fishy guy with the fin: Tomar-Re

Big guy on the bottom: Kilowog (basically a Green Lantern drill sergeant)



I just found concept art for the Guardians (these are guys that tell the Green Lantern Corp what to do).

I am huge Green Lantern fan and I am looking forward to the movie. The movie is scheduled for next summer, is that correct Rex?

I think so manny, but I'm not real sure. It's definitely a ways off though.

This is the first I'm hearing of this movie. Have they cast Hal Jordan yet?

An actor by the name of Ryan Reynolds, I have never heard of him.

sounds familiar but I can't remember if he made any movies I have seen.

Looked up his film career in IMD, and I can safely say I have never seen any of his movies, I would sit thru the Wolverine movie I just have not gotten around to it yet, but most of his films look like steaming piles of dog turds.

Still maybe he is a better actor then the material he has choosen so far.

You've never seen "Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place" either?

He seems to be Hollywood's Golden Boy at the moment. He sorta reminds me of Dane Cook. Was tollerable early on in his career, then got overexposed/overhyped and became a smarmy douche. I've seen a few of his movies. As far as I can tell, he pretty much plays the same guy in every movie. Watch Van Wilder and he's that guy over & over.

As if I needed another reason to dislike this guy, I just read that he's married to Scarlett Johansson.

Off the top of my head, I think the only things I've seen him in are the "Wolverine" movie and the "Amityville Horror" remake ... and I found him to be pretty forgettable in both.

Man, I hope DC/Warner Bros do not screw up this movie, I love the character but it is also a character that come off totally cheesey since he can make giant boxing gloves etc

Don't forget that he's powerless against the color yellow. Theoretically, this could defeat him in a fight...

They can re-write all the history they want. I know what I saw on the Superfriends. Sinestro and his giant yellow mallet proves otherwise.

I believe he was pretty forgetable in those two movies as well. Although, he wasn't forgetable in Blade Trinity (at least to me), as the wise-cracking, smart ass former vampire turned vampire killer, Hannibal King.

Wasn't he in The Proposal? He was ok in Wolverine, he wasn't in it much which helps.

Reynolds is actually quite good, his best role was in that chick flick "Definitely Maybe" and that movie The Proposal with Sandra Bullock.

Green Lantern interests me more than Captain America/Thor.

This is the comic book movie I'm looking forward to most right now. I like Reynolds but I think it was a mistake he wasn't cast as Flash (another movie that should be getting prepped soon). He was rumored to be the Flash for years and then he gets the GL gig instead. Hal's a pretty boring guy, Reynold's personality matches up best with the Wally West Flash.

Are they making a Flash movie? Didin't they learn from that tv show back in the 90's? While I thought it was pretty entertaining, the Flash superhero is a bit one-dimensional, dontchya think? He's fast. Alright, what else? He might be ok as an additional character, but I think he's a little too limited for the main focus of a movie. Eh, what do I know.
