| Hmmm, some that come to mind immediately... 1. Iced Earth/Nevermore/Destiny's End 2. Ted Nugent (Front row at the Sunshine Theater, Albuquerque) 3. Black Sabbath - Born Again tour (A historic tour with Ian Gillan on vocals. Quiet Riot opened up the show on their Metal Health tour.) 4. Aerosmith - Rock in a Hard Place tour w/ Pat Travers (my first show at a big stadium. I was in heaven.) 5. Twisted Sister - in Tuscon AZ a couple years ago. Went with Trog and Chris and we had a BLAST! 6. Dio & Twisted Sister, at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia. Dio on his Holy Diver tour, Twisted Sister on the You Can't Stop Rock and Roll tour. Great show! 7. Extreme Martigras 2001. Great show. Got to see Recon and Barren Cross and it was also one of my most memorable Ultimatum shows. As well it was the day I hooked up with the Vengeance guys to set the wheels in motion for the reunion show in 2002. 8. Vengeance Rising 1990. A short show due to their van breaking down and them arriving late, but man, I just was in awe of those guys! 9. Dio on the Magica tour. He played the entire album from start to finish. It was GREAT! 10. Fireball Ministry opening for Dio at the Sunshine in Albuquerque 2005. That show made me an instant fan of Fireball Ministry. Have seen them again since and loved those shows just as much. Even roadied for them once. 11. David Lee Roth - Eat 'Em An Smile tour with Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan. What a show! Dave was in his prime. 12. Mortification touring for Blood World. Ultimatum opened. It was one hot, sweaty show and I loved every minute of it. 13. Black Sabbath w/ Dio, only a few months ago. GREAT, GREAT SHOW! Megadeth opened and simply tore it up! Didn't think Sabbath could top Megadeth, but indeed they at least matched them. 14. U.D.O. & Saxon at a casino in Santa Fe, NM. U.D.O. were on their "Holy" tour. Both band annihilated and I was in awe! Got to meet Biff from Saxon for the second time, and Udo and Fitty from U.D.O. Sweet! 15. Overkill at the Launchpad a couple years ago. The people from the Launchpad thought I was with the band so I got to watch the show from the side of the stage. LOL! It was classic. DD gave me a bass pick! | |

| Where I live, metal concerts tend to be rare as hell. Slayer in 2004 was the best concert I've ever been to. | |

| Savatage on the Wake of Megallen tour. Finally got to see my all time favorite band live, and it was magic! They even won over a friend of mine whowere not a fan. I've since seen them several times, and met the band twice. Kiss on the reunion tour. Never thought I'd get to see them back in make-up. Saw them 4 times from 1997 to 1999. Iron Maiden with Bruce back. Another one I'd never thought I'd see. Great show. Metallica. Seen them twice (or is it 3 times?), but the first time was the best. They had the stage at the centre of the hall, with the public all around the scene. Another great show w/explosions and the "destroyed rig". Wacken Open Air in 1998. It was awesome to experience the biggest metal festival on the planet. Saw Angel Dust, Iced Earth, Arch Enemy (pre-Gossow), Edguy, Blind Guardian, Savatage, Doro, Cradle of Filth (sucked), Sentenced and many others. Sweden Rock Festival in 2002. 2 of my best friends took me there as a Batchelor Party. Had a great time, w/Candlemass headlining w/Messiah back! Other acts I remember were Bruce Dickinson, Rage, Wolf, 220 Volt and Motörhead. Testament in a small club in Oslo was also very cool. _________________ | |

| Hmm, some of my faves... KISS' Reunion Tour at Madison Square Garden, July of 96 - I had seen KISS without makeup several times prior to this show but finally getting the opportunity to see the original four was a dream come true for me. I felt eight years old again for the entire show. Iron Maiden, Brave New World Tour, Madison Square Garden, August of 2000 - my first time seeing Maiden, even though I'd been a fan for over fifteen years at that point (I always seemed to be out of town or out of $$ whenever they came thru my area over the years...), so needless to say I went completely bonkers. Seeing Halford as the opening act just sweetened the deal. Savatage/Trouble, L'amour in Brooklyn, NY, fall of '90 - Savatage at their absolute peak, and Trouble were awesome as well. I had never heard Trouble before this night but I became an instant fan. Savatage were MASSIVE!! I saw them again years later w/Zak on vocals and enjoyed it as well, but this gig on the GUTTER BALLET tour still ranks in my top 5 favorite concerts of all time. I even got a high five from Criss Oliva at the end of Savatage's set. Metallica/The Cult, Meadowlands Arena, July of '89 - Metallica on the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL tour. I'd seen them once before this show, and I saw them several times afterwards but this gig seemed the most "on" if you know what I mean. It was the last time I saw Metallica as merely a "big METAL band," as they became a "big ROCK band" only a few years later. The Ramones, Wave Street, Staten Island, NY, October of '88 - I was a freshman in college and this was my first show in a club, also my first mosh pit, what more needs to be said? Judas Priest/Megadeth/Testament, Meadowlands Arena, December of 1990 - Priest were touring for PAINKILLER, and as a special bonus we got the RUST IN PEACE era Megadeth at their absolute peak as an opening act. My brother and I still argue about who was better that night, Priest or Deth (I still say Deth) Raven/Anvil, Birch Hill Nightclub, Jan. 1995 - Another "dream come true" show for me because I'd been a Raven fan for over a decade at this time but since they rarely, if ever, played the U.S. I'd all but given up on ever seeing them live. The show was awesome and I got to meet John Gallagher (bass/vox) as well. John is bar none the coolest metal guy I have ever met, by the way. Anvil were excellent as well. Crimson Glory, Zone dk, New York City, Fall of '89 -- I consider myself lucky to have seen Crimson Glory at all, since they tended to concentrate on European gigs and didn't play much in the states at all. This show was at a tiny little nightclub in downtown Manhattan, but they played like they were headlining the Garden. My roommate met Midnight and chatted with him for quite a while... when I turned around and saw him talking to this dude wearing tons of leather and a big mop of hair, I figured he HAD to be one of the band members, but without the silver mask I didn't recognize which one, but that didn't stop me from barging in on the conversation and introducting myself anyway When he walked away I said to my roommate, "That was Midnight, right?" and he said "yep." I said "I thought so." Overkill/Hostile Rage, Ramapo College, Summer of '90 - This was the second or third time I'd seen Overkill and it remains my favorite Kill show. It was an outdoor gig at a local college campus and was a fund raiser for a local girl who needed some sort of operation (I forget what kind)... this was my first outdoor show, and I got to meet Blitz and Bobby Gustafson (who signed my ticket stub, I still have it!) -- that is especially cool cuz that night turned out to be Gustafson's last show with Overkill. I will never forget the looks on the faces of the Ramapo College security guards who were standing in front of the outdoor stage when they saw everybody starting to mosh and crowd surf. They looked like deer in the headlights of a semi truck! Those are just off the top of my head, maybe I'll come back with more later...

| Did 220 Volt play the "Prisoner of War" song? Mine: 1) Kreator @ Metalcamp festival 2006. They were among the last bands on the last (3rd) day on the very best festival I've been - killer! 2) Anthrax @ Gods of Metal 2005. I didn't know what to expect, but they totally ruled!!! Saw them again in 2 weeks but it wasn't half that good (they played at midnight then ). 3) & 4) Slayer - Metalcamp 2005 & Slayer - Munich 2006. It was for the 3rd and 4th I saw Slayer and there's nothing much to add. The Metalcamp show had the best song-set, but the crapiest crowd ... 5) Sabbat @ Keep it True VIII: Great, great, GREAT!!! Excellent frontman: And many more. Both Keep it True festivals I've attended (especially Sabbat, Piledriver and Defender on KIT 8 and Darkness (the very last show) on KIT 6), Wacken 06 (the biggest metal festival on the world and definitely is something special!! - the best bands were Metal Church, Mortal Sin, Carnivore, Celtic Frost, Motorhead with a shitty public, Metal Inquisitor and co.). I'm going there this year as well I hope.; then Abandoned @ Earthshaker festival, Megadeth for the 1st time (because of the happy Mustaine ) and for the 2nd time (he wasn't that happy anymore, haha ), Accept 2 years, Kataklysm for the 1st and 2nd time (they ripped for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, .. time as well but I kinda lost interest ) ago, etc, etc. ... Slayer for the 1st time when Tom Araya lost his voice and we saw only a 30-minutes show (And that was 700 km away from home ) ... | |

| Iron Maiden in 2005. Simply a great live band. Also saw them in 2006 and it was also a good show.
I saw Megadeth couple of weeks ago at the Sauna Open Air Metal Festival and they were awesome.
Heaven & Hell at Sauna Open Air Metal Festival. It was a great show, and I have always wanted to see that lineup live. Dio rocks!

| I guees that there are a couple that stand out because I stumbled on great bands that I hadn't known that much about before.
1978- Went to see Montrose and Mk I (heavy era) Journey in St. Paul, the warmup band was Van Halen, who had just released their first album a few days before. Needless to say they blew the other bands off the stage. This was in a small auditorium, a totally different experience than what a Journey (Perry)/ Van Hagar stadium show of the 80's would be. Apples and Oranges.
1979- I was a huge fan of UFO, and went to see them. The opening act was Judas Priest, who were well established by that point but not yet the mega stars they would become. However I hadn't heard them yet, and was blown away. This concert was basically "Unleashed in the East" followed by UFO's "Strangers in the Night". It doesn't get any better than that.

| Since I'm only 13 I've been to one concert which was Gigantour 2006. Pretty good, Lamb of God had good lighting which made it cooler. Plus I got all of the guys from Megadeth's signatures on there poster with the United Abominations cover. Hopefully my second concert will be King Diamond in May 2008 |

| In no particular order: Stryper THWTD tour - March 1987, Warner Theater, Washington, DC - my first concert, great, great show. I wore out my t-shirt (with the limitied edition THWTD cover on it. Hurricane opened KISS - Reunion tour, Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, VA 1996 - My favorite of all the KISS concerts, my first time seeing KISS live, and in full makeup with the original members, simply awesome, great stage, great set list, don't remember who opened Queesnryche - Building Empires tour, Norfolk Scope, Norfolk, VA (1991 I think), all of O:MC, a great set of songs spanning all the albums, ST opened Iron Maiden - A Matter Of Life & Death World Tour - October 2006 - Tweeter Center, Camden, NJ - great, great, show - I love the CD, so I enjoyed seeing it played live. The band put an incredable amount of energy into the show, cool stage Megadeth/Testament - RIP.PWYP tour - The Boathouse, Norfolk, VA, The "classic" MD lineup, testament at their peak, does it get better than this for a speed/thrash metal show? I still remember Chuck Billy was pissed that the bouncers broke up the mosh pit | |

Dio, Fireball Ministry, Phantom X- Gypsy Ballroom - Dallas, Tx Oct. 2004!
I'm with Ultmetal - I'd never even heard of Fireball Ministry and I came away a BIG fan....Dio is a 'god' but Fireball Ministry stole the show that night. Phantom X was pretty darn good as well...

| I saw Deliverance on their tour in 1990. The Moshketeers opened up for them. Great show indeed.
I saw them again a couple years later on the What A Joke tour. Again, a great show.
Some others I remembered since posting the first few: MOTORHEAD & RAVEN at the Penny Arcade in 1986.
KREATOR at the Launchpad, 2006
ULI ROTH and M.S.G. at the House of Blues in Hollywood, 2004.
SLAYER, JUDAS PRIEST and BLACK SABBATH touring together for OZZFEST. Killer show.
SACRED WARRIOR and the MOSHKETEERS at some small church in Albuquerque in the early 1990's.
TT QUICK and HELSTAR in Rochester, NY in 1986. TT Quick were touring on their "Metal of Honor" album, Helstar for their "Remnants of War" album. Helstar had the big following in Rochester but were the opening band. When TT Quick went on, there were only a handful of people left in the club, but they put on a killer show anyhow and then came out and partied with all of us diehards afterwards.
ELEMENTS OF ROCK 2005 with Rob Rock, Narnia, Mad Max, Once Dead, etc. Got to watch Narnia from side stage and that was a blast! Was front row, center for Rob Rock. It was my first time seeing him and he was fantastic. Had him sign some of my CDs before the show. It was also one of my favorite shows I played with Once Dead.
Man, I've been to so many shows over the years, I can't even remember them all. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| A few that come to mind... Guns N Roses - 3 times in a week. Hershey Arena, Hershey, PA. 2 days later @ the Spectrum in Philadelphia, followed by a roadtrip to the Cap Center in Washington DC. Metallica - Free concert in the parking lot of the First Union Center, Philadelphia. I work at the facility and for security/legal purposes, we were permitted to videotape the concert. My job was to be the spotter for the camerman. He's taping, I'm scanning the crowd for fights, mosh pits and topless women. ZZ Top/Black Crowes - Spectrum in Philadelphia. Memorable mostly because Miller Lite was the tour sponsor and Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes went on a rant about corporate sponsorship. Shortly afterwards, the Crowes were kicked off the tour. Ozzfest - Tweeter Center, NJ. 1st shows with Halford back in Priest. Sabbath was the headliner, but Ozzy was sick. Instead of cancelling, Halford stepped in and sang the Sabbath set with Iommi, Butler & Ward. 2 metal legends sharing the stage! Black Sabbath w/Pantera - Spectrum in Philadelphia. Ozzy reunited with Sabbath for the first time and getting to see Pantera with Dimebag. Wasn't a fan before seeing them live. Their performance changed my opinion & made me a fan. Megadeth - too many shows to remember. I think I've seen them on practically every tour that's stopped in Philly since Rust in Peace. Haven't made it to a Gigantour show, however. Social Distortion - Electric Factory in Philly. Not quite metal, but seeing Mike Ness dive into the crowd to beat up some douche that was throwing stuff at him was priceless. Zappa Plays Zappa - Tower Theater, Upper Darby. Dweezil Zappa & band plays the songs of his father. What a cool tribute! Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Tower Theater/Wachovia Center. It's become a Christmas tradition for my wife & I. KISS - First Union Center, Philly. 1996 Re-Union tour. Never saw KISS live. With the make-up & stage show, I was transported back to 1978. Aerosmith - too many shows to remember. Been seeing them live since they toured for Pump. Always a great performance. Motorhead/COC - Trocadero Theater, Philly. Lemmy walked out on stage and said "We are Motorhead and we play rock n' roll". Then he stepped on the throttle and never let up for the entire show. Probabaly the loudest show I've ever seen, even with earplugs. Best non-show performance: The "new" Guns N Roses - Wachovia Center, Philly. Axl's hired hands are there, but Axl pulls a no-show. After waiting about 3 hours, the announcement is made that there will be no concert. Fan reaction was not pleasant. Hilarity ensues. Areana trashed, seats ripped out, band equipment smashed, multiple arrests, fires in the parking lot. | |

Stryper was on the can't stop the rock tour, Bride hadn;t yet relased snakes - both bands put on a great show - I was living 3 1/2 hours away at the time - worth the trip I also saw Deliverance and One Bad Pig - Deliverance opened, awesome show. Weapons hadn't come out yet, but they palyed a few songs off the upcoming CD. I remember before they show they were playing Recon through the sound system (it hadn't been released yet) - we all though it was a new helloween CD at first, until we met Jimmy and George after the show and they told us who it was

| 1. Aerosmith - Rock in a Hard Place tour, Augusta Civic Center, Augusta ME 1982 -My first proper concert. I was blown away. I didn't even care that Joe Perry and Brad Whitford weren't in the band at the time. 2. Dio - Holy Diver tour, Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, CA 1983 -Dio put on an unbelievable show that night. Still one of the best I've ever seen. 3. Three Dog Night/Steppenwolf - Concord Pavillion, Concord, CA 1984. -TDN was incredible vocally that night, but the reason this concert sticks out is because it was the first one I ever attended with my dad, and his record collection was the reason I was into TDN. 4. Megadeth/Exodus/Legacy (aka Testament)/Hirax - pre-album show for all of these classic bands at Ruthie's Inn, Berkeley, CA 1984. -This show was incredible! My first thrash show and I was scared to death! LOL! All of these bands were just about to release their debut albums less than a year later and make metal history. Particularly memorable was the Megadeth set since they were a three piece (Dave, David & Gar) and they played so fast and heavy that it altered the course of my life! 5. Ozzy Osbourne/Metallica - Ultimate Sin & Master of Puppets tours respectively, Cow Palace, San Francisco, CA 1986. -Really memorable for two reasons: my first time seeing Ozzy and the fact that I was also seeing Metallica for the first time in their hometown with Cliff Burton still alive and well. GREAT SHOW. 6. Stryper/Loudness/TNT - To Hell With the Devil, Thunder in the East & Tell No Tales tours respectively, Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, ME 1987. -Seeing Stryper in their heyday with two great metal bands in tow was definitely memorable. 7. Aerosmith - Permanent Vacation tour, Augusta Civic Center, Augusta, ME 1987. -Five years after the first time I saw them, same venue, the family feud resolved, the band is clean and sober and they put on ONE HELL OF A SHOW! I went on a severe Aerosmith kick after this show that lasted almost two years - that's how good it was. 8. Frank Zappa - Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, ME 1988. - I cannot express how utterly grateful I feel that I got to see this legend before he passed away a short five years later. I had just gotten into his music a year earlier, so I was a relatively new fan. The most memorable part was the fact that this AWESOME band he had played a cover of Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and the horn section did the guitar solo note for note! It was classic. The subsequent live album from this tour, Broadway the Hard Way, even has some material on it that was recorded at the show I was at. Very cool memory. 9. King's X - King's X tour, After the Gold Rush, Tempe, AZ 1992. -Memorable mainly because they were my favorite band at the time and I had tickets with my then girlfriend (now wife) to go see them, but we got into a hellacious fight before the show so I ended up going alone and actually had a GREAT time anyway! I sat at the bar with a good view of the stage, a pizza guy came in taking delivery orders, so I ordered a pizza and I didn't have enough money for a shirt, but I met a guy I worked with there and he spotted me the extra cash to grab a shirt. Oh, and the band were in top form and played most of what I wanted to hear too! 10. Ray Charles - Phoenix Symphony Hall, Phoenix, AZ 1994. -Another legend that I am utterly grateful that I got the chance to see before he passed away. He only played for an hour, but I was enraptured the entire time. Pure genius. 11. Black Sabbath/Judas Priest - Ozzfest, Journal Pavillion, Albuquerque, NM 2004. -Memorable for two main reasons: It was my first time ever seeing my absolute favorite band, Black Sabbath, with the original lineup intact and in top form, and it was the first time I met my good friend Scott Waters in person. Plus, Priest is always a blast to see live and my best friend Chris was also with me that day. An all around great day for metal! | |

Yes they did!! I saw them on Kinetic Faith and Snakes tour many times each (living in Ohio or Kentucky helped) and Dale was in his "we could knock G-n-R of their pedastal" phase and, man, they killed that song! Dale singing w/ Stryper will always be a highlight of my life. And then all the Stryper dudes switched instruments...pretty cool!
