| I love all of those except for Whitesnake, but I had to go with Saxon on this one. "Wheels Of Steel" is one of my favorite albums of all time. | |

| Now that I think of it more... I like Blizzrad of Ozz best. I am going by what I liked back then the most, as opposed to any prefrence of today. _________________ | |

1982 Haha, whoops. Always thought that was a 1980 release. Then I'll go for the Realities of War EP by Discharge.

- I have that same Classic Rock issue. GREAT read!
I refuse to vote though, as I can't choose between Heaven And Hell or Iron Madien. That issue with Angus and Brian on the cover was a GREAT issue.... I really can't believe how many absolute Classics came out in 1980... and the reality is that most of them hold true today... How many bands today will be able to say that in 30 years.... I actually wore out my first copy of Back In Black, I played album so much just crazy.... I also cannot believe I took AC/DC over Rush in this category. I heard AC/DC first so I stay true with my past.... I am amazed on how responses in just a matter of hours

| Of the albums listed, the only other ones I like besides Back In Black are Heaven and Hell and Scream Dream.
Those other two are also-rans to the monster that is Back In Black IMO.
Yeah, BIB was/is waaaaaay overplayed and I prefer any Bon Scott AC/DC album to BIB but of the ones listed, that is my favorite by a narrow margin over Heaven and Hell. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| wow, that was one great year. I didnt realize it until I saw that list. I had about half of those that year and a few others I eventually got a year or two later.
Albums I heard a thousand times that year: Heaven And Hell, Scream Dream, Back In Black, Women & Children First, Cultosaurus Erectus, Blizzard Of Ozz, Iron Maiden, British Steel.
Permanent Waves & On Thru The Night I wouldnt hear until a year later.
As for My fave of 1980: Black Sabbath-Heaven And Hell. Close second-(tie) Iron Maiden, Women & Children First
