Iron Maiden vs. Judas Priest

I love Priest, but I get bored of them fairly quickly. Not the case with Maiden. Plus, I'll eventually check out anything new Priest does, but I will immediately blind buy any new Maiden. Their last 4 albums have been awesome.

For me, Priest's truly untouchable run was Sad Wings through Stained Class: 3 albums. I like most of their other stuff (particularly Defenders and Painkiller), but it's more hit and miss to me.

Maiden was untouchable from Number through Seventh Son: 5 albums. And I love everything else (besides the two with Blaze).

To me, those two don't even exist.

The X-Factor was one of their best.

Reinvigorated the band and their sound. They were not going to a good direction before it.

Too bad Blaze is one of the worst vocalists I've ever heard in my life.  Yes, Wolfsbane totally sucked as well.    

I've found live versions of several of the Blaze era tracks with Bruce singing and they are awesome, but I find Blaze totally unlistenable.

Blaze is awesome. I love his solo albums.

His solo albums are more listenable then the Maiden stuff, imho.
